Yes, that’s definitely the case and it’s something we are aware of.
That is something I already said in another event thread: There is a thin line for the themes. We want to make cool, unique and interesting themes, but also themes, that are easy to pick of. Ideally we have a theme that is → interesting and the community likes it, is immediately interested in participating + community already has videos in mind for that theme, or can easily find fitting content.
That would be ideal. We got some cool suggestions. Very interesting, very unique. BUT: I can already see it’s too hard to find fitting content for it. If there is no easy to find content for that theme → participation will be lower.
About the smaller events: We currently have no plans to do smaller events in between. For now, we want to keep on focusing on 4 - 5 bigger events per year. We don’t want to over saturate it with the events.

Ok, we collected a lot of ideas for the themes. Now I will make a new separate thread, make a poll including all suggestion in and then we see what themes will be the most popular. Thank you everybody for the theme suggestions and your input!
