Damn, hopefully I get lucky on some of these counts. I did notice just a few days before ordering, they actually changed/updated the case/maybe even the machine itself, and labelled it as the “updated” model. So hopefully things work out, if not though I’ll come back here and share
You definitely want to keep the suction low, usually at 0 to 20%. Mine’s been working great since March, and none of my sleeves or scabbards or shots have given up on me. To be fair, this isn’t my first one, and the others broke because the sleeve tore, and lube was seaping into the machine. That’s imo the main reason why the Syncbot seems to die, though some have claimed to not have the lube leak and have had the red light of death.
I guess another thing (might be superstitious, not sure) is try not to let the Syncbot run all the way down to 0% battery. Charge while using, charge in between use, etc.
And rotation I usually keep between 20 and 50%.
My honest experience.
My device still survives since i bought it, 9/17/23. It wont die but at the same time, i stopped using it but there was a time it was my only device until jan or feb 2024. My scabbard broke after 2 months, the grip portion. Got some replacement and that survived til today. I def reduced the grip to 20-40%. My main gripe with the syncbot is the software.

Its a pain in the ass to add vids+scripts. If you reorganize your library, it wont detect it so you have to delete it in the player and readd it. You cannot drag and drop the new location. Good luck finding the stuff you need.

There is still no search function
-
There is no sort function

There is no INVERT option to this day. Or even add offsets ms just in case some scripts are slightly off. This is personally my biggest pet peeve because some scripts feel better inverted.
My frustration is that i felt abandoned because these requests were from day 1. Feels like theyre focusing too much on their crypto adjacent software.
This is why after each session once i pull out, i tilt the device around 45 degrees. And immediately remove the scabbard from the device. Only once its removed where i put it upright to clean. To prevent lube leak . Cuz lube leak is a serious issue
i can confirm mine still works in perfect condition affter almost a year. Idk man guess i got good luck. i use it at least 4x a week and i watch some pretty fast scripts. i will say though what annoys me is that the company never lets you buy 1 scabbard at a time. its always ‘out of stock’ which is utter bullshit. also the shots dont last but maybe 2-3 months if your careful with them
Syncbot is still my favorite device (I own Handy/Syncbot/OSR2+) , and not even because I got it through the Affiliate program.
It being completely wireless is a plus for me, I can shove it in my meiki plush, pop on vr, and be fully immersed away from my desk. The feeling is really good, post orgasm play is a thing, and I never had issues with the stroke length (even though more wouldn’t hurt) and I’m larger than average.
But I also did have issues with the device, I’m on my third unit. I’d be a little upset if I paid for them honestly.
First unit stopped stroking, second unit the grip would keep tightening in one direction which could have gone really bad if I didn’t pull out of the device when I felt it starting.
Third unit has been working well, but I don’t use it as much as anymore mainly because I’m not sure what to do if it breaks.
I’ve had 3 scabbards and 2 of them have issues, with tearing making the grip/suction non existant… then small annoying stuff like the bearing at the bottom of the scabbard squeaking…
I also didn’t like how they began to paywall things… weird crypto system
I was going to do a review on the syncbot, but real-life got in the way, and the way the company stopped contact really left a bad taste in my mouth.
It’s hard for me to recommend in this state, as much as I enjoy it. (Reminds me of VW/Audi ownership). The small “quirks” aren’t for everyone. I really enjoy this device for laying in bed with VR, and for what rotation/grip add to audio funscripts.
If they took these issues in to consideration for their next product, they could really be on to something good.
But for now, my main device is the OSR2+. I used Syncbot up until about March of this year as my main device.
Honestly, for the price, they really should have had better warranty and be more open to replacing failed units or scabbards.
I imagine the margins would allow for them to do so, plus it makes more sense to take care of the initial founding customers, especially those who purchased the pro pack.
One of the scabbards ripped fully and the second I got in my pro bundle was faulty out of the box, which I didn’t know until the first ripped and it was past warranty.
First unit itself died out of nowhere too, even though I babied the product and liquid/lube never leaked into the unit.
I’d be more forgiving about the horrendous quality control if they were open to replacing units and scabbards that should never have left their warehouse to begin with.
If they came out with an updated unit that resolved ALL the issues, and offered existing customers a low barrier of entry, in addition to better warranty, it may improve their rep in the space.
For now, they don’t have a good reputation.
Now they have disappeared into the sunset. Site is down and they are gone. Probably with everyone’s money and no more returns/refunds. What a shitty company.
…what a fucking surprise.
Hopefully enough people got the memo and didn’t buy in, my commiserations to those who did.
And unironically, my deepest sympathy to those who ended up with a working machine they actually quite like, but is now doomed to go extinct. Or who sunk time and effort into making scripts, or just had a community they liked there. It’s the way that good people’s trust and respect is coerced by scammers that hurts the most. The lowest circle in Hell is reserved for those who betray us. For very good reasons.
Also, maybe this community needs to have a discussion on a mod level about whether an obvious scam like this needs to be better highlighted in the future. At no point were these people ever to be trusted, yet they bought their way into our lives by dropping innumerable free Syncbots on every ‘influencer’ in the scriptverse they could. Plenty of peeps who received a unit never gave them a review, btw. @qdot seemed very suspicious. That was an obvious red flag.
Plus, there was the way they had actually tried to scam this very community a few months prior to the big release with shill accounts. i pointed it out when they returned, but people didn’t seem massively bothered, and cracked on with blowing smoke up their ass with the free Syncbots they received. Which Syncbot replaced for free whenever they (quite frequently in some cases) broke. Which insulated them from the harsh realities of having to shell out $500 - $600 for a wank machine that was very cheaply made.
Enough machines worked for long enough with enough people to maintain the momentum, an in house discord maintained a narrative, Syncbot fucked off from Eroscripts a long time ago when they realised the jig was up, i’m glad i stuck to my guns about that one, but unfortunately the damage was done, and the lie was spun, just sad disappointment, for everyone.
No winners here…
Guess the next thing will come. I joined their Discord back then to see what kind of support they gave etc. and it’s just shitty all around for 500$ product.
People obviously are not protected here, so I stopped caring saying anything about that. Let people fall into money pit traps.
If im being very blunt. I was skeptical of their product since the beginning.
I said this in 2023:
I’m more than likely never going to get anything from them and would advise most people to skip on anything else they make.
It’s worth considering banning their products from the forum if they lead a consistent scammy behavior.
I liked the device a lot but it definitely has a lot of flaws (The scabbard durability and price being the worst offenders). The company’s support and communication was definitely trash, but I don’t think it was a scam because the device itself is good and works well. I did notice that they’ve been deleting any messages critical of them in the discord for a while now. My guess is there wasn’t enough demand to keep the company going.
Before their players could use funscript, people could only use their player or hope for the few syncscripts that released on this site for stuff. Their player and generator were fine for owners but they literally made a closed ecosystem inside of this community so its no wonder support and word of mouth for it slowly died out(on top of the growing negative sentiment over the device durability and customer support).
You can’t really show up here and then be like “come over here for an exclusive experience you have to pay in for”. This ain’t a big group and you’re trying to get the whales who can pay for it, while also hoping some of those whales will prop up that new gated community, cause most things around here get by via word of mouth and scripters can only really script for devices they have.
The only positive thing about this is the community will be way more cautious about the next device that comes to market.
I think the future of teledildonics is in funscript and it has to be an open ecosystem.
we’ve all grown accustomed to open tech and devices to enjoy these experiences.
When have devices like OSR and FSR the open standardization of funscript. The tokenization of them from the handy crowd has has minimal adoption.
I think the big engineering audience of the community and early adopters of the tech are a big reason why we don’t put up with closed proprietaryTM ecosystems. A large bunch of the community is all opensource and DIY and it outnumbers the closed source alternatives. The only money there really is for commercial is in making content for these devices ergo SLR/funscript commissions/paid scripts
If any company really wants to make money (ohdoki if you’re listening) Make software that is paid, closed source software, and sell the opensource software, that once a user buys it, they own it and can use it forever. Implement a plugin ecosystem that allows the community to addon to it (webservers, VR, metadata servers, etc.)
he software should do 4 things.
- Implement and OFS competitor with lua scripting
- A video player that takes names, scripts and can connect to online databases such as ivdb
- Host a locally accessible api for Tcode / handyAPI
- Embedded browser like surf or Tauri
This would accomplish having a usable software everyone on the forum can use online/offline and would compliment your existing infrastructure and would entice users to use your infrastructure side by side with the existing community involved.
The browser would allow web integrations including SLR/funscript.io/eroscripts
The API would allow a local player to continue working when a user is offline
The OFS implementation would allow users to create scripts and perhaps directly upload to a handy owned database server.
Some additional niceties that would be killer:
Perceptual hash generation can connect to ivdb and allow a user to download/purchase any number of scripts from your database all from their existing video library.
DeoVR/heresphere integration
Linux/mac support
These are all free ideas, take them. I promise you this will make money.
I… honestly have no fucking clue what happened with Syncbot and Valor & Toughness.
Communication with them was always just plain weird. They did a TON of custom engineering on the syncbot, but at the end of the day none of it actually made sense for… pretty much any market. They wanted to be part of the buttplug.io ecosystem but also absolutely would not talk to me about protocol implementations.
I got a free unit before release time, which I guess will now be useless. Really need to find some museum that wants to take these stupid things off my hands.
I hope they bounce back since I enjoyed the product. It really should’ve come with some instructions on how to care for the thing properly, because my recent one has lasted great for the past year, and my first units lasted a month or a few at the most.
You really just have to reduce the suction and not block it from the back so that it doesn’t build up so much, and make sure to use lube. If anything seaps through, toss the sleeve. The price creeping up and their seemingly high amount of staff members afk in the Discord all the time, and inability to monetize and improve on their Syncbrowser concept I think made them fall off prematurely.
Their AI was actually decent for a lot of types of scenes (way better than Faptap so far), but what they were using to convert the strokes into a Syncbot script made the rotation movements more jerky and unpleasant than it should have. It’s a script conversion issue, because they have the raw stroke information in there. If the devs were present in the Discord and listening, and if they had a better business model and attention to how to care for the device, that alone would’ve helped a lot.
I know some people had issues with the machine unrelated to the lube seaping in, though, but I think a lot had the motherboard moisture issue.
I’ve got a lot to say on how I’ve used and enjoyed the Syncbot, but never tried to endorse it or put my discount code around due to their indirect way of addressing the quality issues.
It seems like V&T had some initial funds to build out this product, but it hasn’t been able to generate the cashflow to keep the project going (?)
To me, it was most apparent when they put all their effort onto their subscription plan for autoscripted or handmade library of syncscripts for pornhub,
I already posted on why mines broke, but essentially proper care of the scabbard will inevitably result in it breaking.
Pulling the scabbard out of the SyncBot requires separating it from strong magnets, creating stress on the circular ring connecting the piston portion of the scabbard with the tightening portion. This will make the plastic ring shift, causing friction and a burning smell.
After which there will be enough space for the piston to get stuck in the tightening portion, which will be evident with cracks on the outside.
Once it is stuck, the magnets will become disconnected, misaligning, then overtightening when playing scripts, causing injury.
I agree its prone to breakage and though my founders (free) edition hasn’t broken, I’ve only actually used it maybe 50 times and during that time it has acted weird numerous times, not connecting etc.
I believe if they make a 2.0 they will do it better. I try to remember we are still at the very beginning of this tech. The price is also a bit insane and needs to come down like $200
