Damn, hopefully I get lucky on some of these counts. I did notice just a few days before ordering, they actually changed/updated the case/maybe even the machine itself, and labelled it as the “updated” model. So hopefully things work out, if not though I’ll come back here and share
You definitely want to keep the suction low, usually at 0 to 20%. Mine’s been working great since March, and none of my sleeves or scabbards or shots have given up on me. To be fair, this isn’t my first one, and the others broke because the sleeve tore, and lube was seaping into the machine. That’s imo the main reason why the Syncbot seems to die, though some have claimed to not have the lube leak and have had the red light of death.
I guess another thing (might be superstitious, not sure) is try not to let the Syncbot run all the way down to 0% battery. Charge while using, charge in between use, etc.
And rotation I usually keep between 20 and 50%.
My honest experience.
My device still survives since i bought it, 9/17/23. It wont die but at the same time, i stopped using it but there was a time it was my only device until jan or feb 2024. My scabbard broke after 2 months, the grip portion. Got some replacement and that survived til today. I def reduced the grip to 20-40%. My main gripe with the syncbot is the software.

Its a pain in the ass to add vids+scripts. If you reorganize your library, it wont detect it so you have to delete it in the player and readd it. You cannot drag and drop the new location. Good luck finding the stuff you need.

There is still no search function

There is no sort function

There is no INVERT option to this day. Or even add offsets ms just in case some scripts are slightly off. This is personally my biggest pet peeve because some scripts feel better inverted.
My frustration is that i felt abandoned because these requests were from day 1. Feels like theyre focusing too much on their crypto adjacent software.
This is why after each session once i pull out, i tilt the device around 45 degrees. And immediately remove the scabbard from the device. Only once its removed where i put it upright to clean. To prevent lube leak . Cuz lube leak is a serious issue
i can confirm mine still works in perfect condition affter almost a year. Idk man guess i got good luck. i use it at least 4x a week and i watch some pretty fast scripts. i will say though what annoys me is that the company never lets you buy 1 scabbard at a time. its always ‘out of stock’ which is utter bullshit. also the shots dont last but maybe 2-3 months if your careful with them
Syncbot is still my favorite device (I own Handy/Syncbot/OSR2+) , and not even because I got it through the Affiliate program.
It being completely wireless is a plus for me, I can shove it in my meiki plush, pop on vr, and be fully immersed away from my desk. The feeling is really good, post orgasm play is a thing, and I never had issues with the stroke length (even though more wouldn’t hurt) and I’m larger than average.
But I also did have issues with the device, I’m on my third unit. I’d be a little upset if I paid for them honestly.
First unit stopped stroking, second unit the grip would keep tightening in one direction which could have gone really bad if I didn’t pull out of the device when I felt it starting.
Third unit has been working well, but I don’t use it as much as anymore mainly because I’m not sure what to do if it breaks.
I’ve had 3 scabbards and 2 of them have issues, with tearing making the grip/suction non existant… then small annoying stuff like the bearing at the bottom of the scabbard squeaking…
I also didn’t like how they began to paywall things… weird crypto system
I was going to do a review on the syncbot, but real-life got in the way, and the way the company stopped contact really left a bad taste in my mouth.
It’s hard for me to recommend in this state, as much as I enjoy it. (Reminds me of VW/Audi ownership). The small “quirks” aren’t for everyone. I really enjoy this device for laying in bed with VR, and for what rotation/grip add to audio funscripts.
If they took these issues in to consideration for their next product, they could really be on to something good.
But for now, my main device is the OSR2+. I used Syncbot up until about March of this year as my main device.
Honestly, for the price, they really should have had better warranty and be more open to replacing failed units or scabbards.
I imagine the margins would allow for them to do so, plus it makes more sense to take care of the initial founding customers, especially those who purchased the pro pack.
One of the scabbards ripped fully and the second I got in my pro bundle was faulty out of the box, which I didn’t know until the first ripped and it was past warranty.
First unit itself died out of nowhere too, even though I babied the product and liquid/lube never leaked into the unit.
I’d be more forgiving about the horrendous quality control if they were open to replacing units and scabbards that should never have left their warehouse to begin with.
If they came out with an updated unit that resolved ALL the issues, and offered existing customers a low barrier of entry, in addition to better warranty, it may improve their rep in the space.
For now, they don’t have a good reputation.
