Artist publishing requirements

It does? I see people posting content that is behind pay walls all the time. Myself included. Also, Renetan has the intention of making a couple of his animations free.
But I’ll defer to your judgement and just continue using the no free links tags when I script Renetan’s content. It just won’t stop anyone else from beating me to it and creating their own topics with the pay walled content freely shared, either through MEGA or Rule34video links.

Our stance is that it shouldn’t be posted on the forum. If it’s a public resource outside the forum we can point everyone to go elsewhere for a takedown.

Like it says in the rules, piracy is forbidden.
It would simply be impossible for us to police every instance of piracy that happens on the forum so we don’t bother. Users are free to report posts and we can ask posters to remove links in that case. We’ve done it in the past at creators requests.

This rule doesn’t intend to change that stance. It’s primarily to promote publishing standards more like a branding compliance sort of thing. I wouldn’t even call it a hard and fast rule. Closer to a suggestion than anything. A way to reach out a hand in respect to creators outside the forum.

This is so hypocritical, it’s laughable.

Just because I personally sail the seas doesn’t mean I need to permit it on the forum.

That’s not what I meant. This forum is full of Mega and similar links.
If piracy was really forbidden, the no-free-links tag wouldn’t be needed.

You do actually have a point.
I may revisit that rule.

So I guess this is for cases like…
a. When an artist releases their video publicly for free with a watermark, and then shares the full HQ version with no watermark on places like Patreon, and so you’d be distributing a paid version rather than the free version?
b. If someone uses AI or cropping to remove or block out the watermark

and they come here asking to be credited.

My 2 cents is I think it’s silly to respect the credit wishes of artists who they themselves are not respecting the copyright of the characters they are using themselves.

HOWEVER

I get a bit frustrated when I have a video from an artist I’d like to look more of their work up, but the watermark or any other identifying mark has been removed from the source. Although I appreciate videos without watermarks, I still want some method of identifying the artist in the file. I think this is kind of a problem with scripts themselves. Personally I tag all of my scripts in the file name with the creator of the script. This is so if I really liked a scripters work I can look up their scripts at a later date; long after I’d remember where I downloaded it from.

So for example if VladTheImplier made a script for one of BlogCG’s videos I’d name the file: [BlogCG] Stolen Character Smut {VladTheImplier}.mp4

I was thinking what if files uploaded to EroScripts could be tagged with the creator(s) and scripter(s) names and then if those strings don’t already exist in the file name they would be appended to the start or end of the file name when downloading them. If we really wanted to get crazy, make a whole filename mask thing, but even having the name appended would be a big convenience renaming the files. (I like naming all my media files in a specific format, I don’t know how much of a weirdo I am with this.)
