[dead, not released] Twinkle Tales (An AI Fantasy Companion for the Handy)

I’m going to leave this as a last update.

I’m no longer working on projects to release publicly, and am instead just sticking to keeping it as a hobby. I’ll tell y’all why too, while at at it, as it’s only fair.

There’s two reasons. First, it takes more of my time than I care to spend getting any app working for any user. All the apps I’ve previously released I made for my partner (Twinkle too), which meant I didn’t have to think about things like user calibrations, and so on. And I genuinely don’t have any interest in adding that stuff. It’s just not fun for me. I’m a networking engineer not somebody releasing content to Patreon lol.

Secondly, I’ve realised that some of y’all believe I am deep into this stuff, and I’m honestly not. I made StrokeGPT because it was a fun challenge, but very quickly realised that this is a big part of some of yall’s lives. And there’s nothing wrong with that. But I’m just not that into it.

So, yeah, that’s all, folks.

Thanks for all the kindness and support.

Well damn, that was a disappointing read, but understandable in the end.

Does that mean it’s the end of this thread? Twinkle is doa?

Yeah, I’m not releasing anything else.

lmao.

knew this was gonna flop the moment I started seeing excuses. An entertaining thread to watch for sure.

friendly reminder to clean your systems out.

Any particular reason you say to clean system out after this one?

Last I saw they were posting their stuff open source, did something happen?

I’m paranoid af about this sort of thing. u do u

I dont see them as malicious. Their past projects were open-source.

I do think everyone should learn how to maintain a healthy relationship with your hobby project.

maybe, maybe not. If I had downloaded any of OP’s software and things turn out the way they did, I’d probly swap out my cpu lol
