Didn’t know about that, thanks! But this idea has been bothering me for a long time, but the need was formed only yesterday

I wouldnt lie, it would be nice to make money being a mod, I enjoy it and if I could do it full time I would.

The 2 new tiers were made a bit ago as a result of my post about the plans to upgrade/migrate the forum. Some users expressed they wish they could donate more.

I made the tiers but as of this moment cant think of a good reason to justify them. Theres no incentive right now, and I would like to avoid enshitification. I wouldlike to add features instead of removing them. I have one in mind but that needs to wait until after the migration.

There are no plans at the moment to put existing abilities behind a paywall.

Wait - you have a product that I’m willing to buy as a script writer. You have a platform for advertising, for example SLR scriptwriters use it very actively.

If you don’t want to monetize access to the site and it’s very right and I support you with all my hands - it won’t be a big problem to create an additional level for script writers for money, and I’ll go back to my old process - to publish all my scripts for free after a while, because why do I write them then, if not for people.

  • Level 1 for $10 publishing in the paid scripts category.
  • Level 2 for $20 publishing promotional posts (like my multi-axis or with part) in the free scripts category.
  • 3rd level $100 to do some other crap

Of course when I start making enough through patreon to pay $30/$40/$50/$100 - I’ll do it. What’s better than buying a buddy a beer or dinner?

Right now it’s 20 bucks.

P.S. We are all members of a very interesting community who are pushing the process of cybersex to a new level. And I think it’s only fair that those who make money from it sponsor others - moderators/administrators/altruists.

Im thinking we might want a dedicated thread for this discussion and put it to a poll.

The reason for why I don’t want this is that it messes up search/filters. If you search/filter the free section it’s for the very reason that you don’t want paid content.

For this to be acceptable it must be possible to see that a post is promotional without visiting the topic, like sponsored links in a Google search.

(posted here since it was a response to a post)

The problem is solved by a tag or a special section. But when I asked to keep this “prank” of mine, the answer was an emphatic “NO”.

Finally thank you very much

Thanks sentinel
That’s exactly what i’ve been complaining about. They are using those for advertising payed scipts under free category.

This is ignored at the moment. I expect/hope that it will be banned soon. If it would be allowed for making profit as you suggest, i will definetely, immediately leave the forum.

This is currently prohibited. You have not made any argument against it other than an objection. I’m probably a fool, but I want to hear you out - as I don’t understand the reasons why it’s bad and unambiguously falls under the ban cardinally.

So - let’s think about this, I have about 50 scripts, many of them multi-axis and I want to give them to the community for free and still pay for it because I want our community to grow.
Are you leaving because you don’t want me to donate to the forum?

Nice way to insult someone…

I am probably a fool but i’ll answer:
Nobody is against you giving something for free or donating. We are all grateful for everything you’ve done. What i’m saying is. “free” should mean free. If you let someone buy their way to throw advertisement there, it’ not free for me anymore. It’s like google ads. Either pay with your money not to see it or pay with your time and watch the ads. It is savage capitalism to force your advertisement on people .

Keep it peaceful.
You missed an important word and misread what they said.

Strange - the letters at the beginning of the sentence are missing in the quote. English is not my native language, I’m a Russian speaker if anything.
I didn’t advertise anything ever, except myself

Sorry, corrected. The meaning stays the same.

I am not against you. On the contrary i respect you very much. And yes, of course you did not advertise anything. But what you suggest with that level 2 for 20$… Nobody would pay for promoting only free content. It would be used to slap payed content on our faces.

An update to this opinion of mine:

Lately, there has been at least one user blatantly abusing the free scripts category using the strategy of releasing the first part of a JAV for free and the other part(s) as paid script(s). I’m calling this blatant abuse as this was one seemingly legit method they were using while also using non-legit methods such as using an alt account to leave positive reviews.

This has shaken my view of scripters releasing part A as free and part(s) B(+) as paid. Not because it’s an inherently bad practice, but because bad actors are abusing it.
Maybe we need to be more strict and less trusting than I previously held we should be.

Im aware of the user you are referring to. They had a number of warnings and I banned them permanently as well as their alt account.

I agree, but I’m unclear whether it was explicitly an abuse of the Free+Paid system or whether it was just a “bad creator” using the system. Motion-capture, AI-assist, fake reviews, etc could have been used with solely Paid category posts without the Free category ads.

I took the opportunity to test some of the Free scripts posted as ads and that convinced me that I would not buy any of the Paid parts. IMHO, that means the system works.
