In case someone misses this, the by far easiest way to capture video with timeline and gauge is Fungen 2.0. Editor part and the webm export are free to use. Thanks @k00gar . I ditched OFS for this and was allowed to participate in making the editor part great.
File/Export/Share Clip but can be put to F1 for example for direct access.
Export clip and you are done
Should be forced by the site for all scripts released in my opinion.
