Estim advice

Hi all,

I’ve never done anything with Estim, but i’ve been interested in trying it out. I’ve just found a few scripts that include Estim on here, but I don’t know what Estim device to get, and which ones work well with funscripts. Personally, I want to mainly use them via my pc. I’m in Europe, so I’d like some options with pro’s and cons for stuff I can buy here, without breaking the bank.

Any tips on how to use them and which ones to get are appreciated!

No clue check reviews here I’ve heard good things about dglabs coyote

Main issue i have while searching is that i don’t know what to look for to make sure it works with funscripts

If it has bluetooth or can be plugged into a computer for data transfer(not charging) then it should work with funscripts. You can just search reddit and here for the term estim and funscripts and see if any devices are mentioned.

wow, here’s the lowdown

funscripts are made for stroker devices and some have been adapted for estim. sometimes that effect is excellent and sometimes not, YMMV.

Devices:
ET-312 or clones, decades of history.
2B, decade+ of history.
If you are handy electronically, stereo stim diy build.
some other new stuff on the market too.
coyote, personally no clue how good

places to get good and real info on estim through some discords below and a website.
estim chat discord – Open Estim Chat
milovanna discord – Milovana
Joanne’s Discord – Joanne's E-Stim Community
milovanna website – cock hero, estim designed videos, femdom stuff too…

estim chat is a little laid back and easy to get answers on, and for just starting out good for learning. Joannes has EVERYTHING in an overwhelming dive right in the ocean and skip the pool sort of way. It will be a huge resource once you get started to expand your knowledge.

I personally use scriptplayer for estim, and set it for estim audio device, in balance mode. I use an ET-312b, and I setup triphase. I also tend to use things that were made with estim in mind and not just funscript conversions. there are however quite a bit of both.

seconding joanne’s discord and milovana

also adding FOC-stim to list of reccommended devices. it requires DIYing, but is designed to be used with restim software, which uses funscripts. FOCv1 and FOCv4 are both good, but v4 requires a custom pcb, increasing cost.

I would also suggest taking advice given in those places with a grain of salt. There is a phenomena in social media where “truth” and “facts” are often willed into existence by a handful of extremely prolific posters.

The online e-stim user community isn’t terribly large, and has been inadvertently steered into difficult places before. A lot of users are technical people IRL and often do get way over a person’s head and overestimate familiarity - then tend to get shitty when asked to speak English and not tech. Because of their “level”, a lot of discussions which could be useful, are a slog through jargon and graphs and electrical engineering talk. While yes, it’s pretty necessary since after all we’re wiring up a thing and need to have safety in mind, some of the attitude is “there was no safety before I created this thing…” and e-stimming has been a thing for decades, with very few issues relatively… It’s the same as techbros thinking they figured out transportation problems if we just made a string of cars that used a tunnel…

And if you are queer, know these places are not exactly safe as long as a couple of the regular users are still hanging about. Much like most of the internet, you probably know already. But it bears reminding.

sorry you’ve had a rough time elsewhere, but that’s not been my experience in these specific communities at all.

I’ve been in and around estim spaces for 20+ years, and the discords I linked above are actively queer friendly… it’s literally part of their mottos. Alt-roles and varied gender identities aren’t just tolerated, they’re normalized. If someone’s being shitty about that stuff, they don’t last long in places I stick around.

Re: the technical jargon thing… yeah, there are channels for deep EE dives if you want them, but I’ve found most folks are happy to translate when asked. The “slog through graphs” vibe isn’t the whole community, it’s just a few rooms you can ignore if you don’t need it.

Also worth adding… Stim Station is another solid discord, MM-focused specifically, if that’s your thing. Also queer friendly, also on the good lists.

If you’ve got screenshots or specific names of problem users still active in any of these servers, my DMs are open. I’d genuinely rather know and deal with it than have it sitting there unchallenged. I’m QwkSilver on discord.

To get started you need a couple things:
Powerbox and electrodes.

Powerbox:
For beginner eroscripter, i’d recommend the coyote 3. It is at a good price point, and it can play funscripts (simulating movement using electricity) using a 3rd party app called Howl . Look for it on GitHub, there’s some instructions to download it on an android device).

Electrodes:
These are the things that can get pretty expensive fast but just visit Joanne’s estim shop and get two cock loops. Maybe an anal electrode if you’re into that (the moaner is normally recommended).

Oh and electric lube but I’m cheap and just use medical water based lube.

If he buys a coyote it comes with electrodes

Estim has traditionally been distributed as an audio MP3 or WAV file.
The devices started as an audio amplifer (stereostim) and depending on what you built, required attention to total power output.
Modern machines resemble more of a tens machine but allow you to modulate the frequency and power output to create smooth or stingy sensations.

The latest machines like Coyote and FOC-Stim take file inputs that tell the device the amplitude (strength), frequency (stingy/pulsy) and phase (focus on one electrode or another) while ensuring that the total energy (pulse time) is low enough that you arent numbing the nerves too much.

The main rule is never have probes that cross your heart (one hand to another or across or through the chest)

It will take a bit of time to find the electrodes that feel right for you. The main rule here is smaller contact area=more intense.

Have fun :stuck_out_tongue:

you’re entirely not wrong, but the overwhelming majority of advice given to beginners in those places boils down to “play below the waist, and do your own experimentation to figure out what works for you”.

this just isn’t true on the whole. most people will not get anything out of these conversations even if they did magically understand everything. very few people are developing their own hardware, software, audio files, estim specific funscripts, etc. there’s no reason to make these conversations more accessible for people who have no business chiming in.
the few nuggets that an average user could act on from such conversations can be quickly discovered through one’s own experimentation, and are typically disseminated in beginner guides.

also, i have to point out the incredible irony of complaining about people lording their subjective truths as absolute, then complaining about people talking physics to investigate an objective truth because the minutiae go over your head. you don’t get it both ways!
