as you can see, the difference is just night and day. The one on heresphere is so barebones you can’t even search by performer or studio. Also the list of tags there seems to have a limit since it doesn’t list them all. Is this something that can be done on your side or this is an issue on heresphere side?
i totally understand you, but unfortunately i cannot do anything on the heresphere side because it would need changes in heresphere.
I am just using heresphere as an endpoint, but i’m bound to what it is offering.
the dev has been working at it since Q1 last year and at some point he thought it can be finished by end of the year but it seems he need more time for it…
This app is the best! I have really been loving it since the first run! I am able to create playlists but have not figured out how to add to playlist. Smart playlists are awesome though. And the two smart playlists I currently have saved…how do I find them in the heresphere UI? I saw this explained somewhere previously but haven’t been able to find this info again. Thank you so much for your program!
Thx
Add to playlist is in the right klick menu, if you have multiple selcted there is also a bulk add to in the same kontext at the bottom
Heresphere has a internal playlist feature, but you cannot pass playlists from external sources to it at the moment. (support will be added if hersphere is starting to support it)
Random Shuffle Button — A dedicated refresh button now appears next to the Random toggle when active. Re-roll your random selection with a single click instead of toggling Random off and on again.
Bug Fixes
Missing thumbnails on network drives — When multiple mapped drives pointed at overlapping network shares (for example one drive on a parent share and another on a subfolder of it), the scanner could build a garbled file path for the thumbnail step. ffmpeg then failed to open the video and no thumbnail was created, leaving the grid empty for those libraries. Mapped network drives are now matched precisely, so thumbnail creation works reliably again. Run a Deep Update Scan once after updating to fill in the missing thumbnails.
Device stops when scrubbing the timeline — Seeking in the video no longer tears down the active device connection. When auto-connect is enabled and the device was offline at app start, the background reconnect retry no longer destroys the player’s active device connection every 30 seconds, so the device keeps following the timeline reliably instead of needing a pause/unpause to recover.
More reliable external pause detection — The player now tracks whether the video is actually paused versus just buffering/seeking, so the device sync no longer gets stopped by mistake when the video is loading a new segment after a seek.
Deleting a file from HereSphere now actually deletes it — When you tapped “Delete” on a video inside the headset, the entry vanished from HereSphere’s view but the file remained on disk, so it would pop up again after the next scan. The server now moves the file (and its funscripts) to the Recycle Bin and removes the library entry, matching the desktop app’s delete behavior.
Diagnostics
Better pause-source logging — If the device unexpectedly pauses during playback, the log now records which part of the player initiated it. This makes it much easier to pinpoint remaining sync issues reported in diagnostic bundles.
Could you add a function to center all axes during video playback, or provide a separate reset view / center all button? After some videos finish playing, the viewing angle may not return to normal.
Loving this app. Replaces stash for my scripted videos.
Question for you. Is there a way to create a Playlist? I find having to manually select a new vid once the current one ends can causing things to flag a bit.
