@amango134 : Yeah just wondered if you had a setting recommendation for the Keon… but turns out it was not necessary; I haven’t had to adjust… the scripts are now well in sync from the get go
Thanks for the great software, we’re grateful you’ve made this for the community ! While there could be features added in the future; its already fantastic you’ve given us a free stable software - thanks again !
@BeeksElectric: I did notice that - happens also when I move around a video; but the pause + play again move works perfectly
Am I correct in understanding that the app doesn’t load the script associated with the video (by default, the script name matches the video title)? And when playing a playlist from VLC, do I need to manually add the script in the app itself?
This would be a very important feature, on par with the playlist. However, the lack of a playlist is compensated for by the ability to connect an external player, but searching and connecting the required script each time is not very convenient. Thank you for your work, the app is developing very quickly.
I’ll look into it seriously very soon. I also want to do a webpage makeover into the Apple SF font and whiter color background scheme so I’ll probably do the two together.
A new update is out and available for update on the Mac App Store.
v1.7.2:
Major changes:
Added: Funscript to Video Auto Matching. FunPlayer can now auto-match a funscript file to the active video name.
Added: Looping. Internal player now has controls for looping. Set A mark and B mark then tap the ‘Loop’ button.
Minor changes:
Fixed: Loop bug fixed. Fixed a bug where, after a video looped, the app sometimes didn’t recognize the jump back to the start. Reported by a user using IINA’s loop feature.
Added: Button in the toolbar to leave an App Store rating Fixed: Logs panel trying to render a non-existent icon
Quick question: For a device like the Lovense Edge2 with 2 vibration motors - can I map FunPlayer’s vibe1/2 or V0/1 to the individual vibrators like I can in MFP on the PC?
I ask because my solid, non-shaking desktop with the big dual 4k monitors is OSX, and my preferred location to use my OSR. But I have to bust out the Surface tablet to run my OSR and Edge2 at the same time, and while it’s serviceable, it lacks the whole kind of experience I’m looking for.
AFAI can tell, MFP is the only one that lets you map each script axis to specific functions or devices.
So for the OSR2+, I can load the stroke/pitch/roll/valve scripts into the respective L0, etc categories as well as separate v0 and v1 scripts for an Edge2 or another 2-function device.
As it stands, FunPlayer seems to only run single script; I couldn’t spot how to add pitch/roll/twist, unless these need the “single-script format”, because FP won’t grab .zip. XTPlayer will load a .zip, but if you just dl’d each script axis individually, it will also pull those individual pitch/roll/twist/valve scripts from the loaded folder if they’re present
FP works great for 90% of my library, BUUUUUT with a multi-function set of devices, it sure would be the One Ring for Mac/OSX users and make better use of the multi-axis devices that are becoming much more prevalent.
MFP is not intuitive of a setup and getting all this established on the Windows device along with Initface and syncing VLC requires time and sorting through - plus restarts after mapping, loading each script individually into the respective axis, and a lot of faffing about that definitely doesn’t “set the mood”. It seems to need a level of consistency in file names and an attention to detail, where FunPlayer is plug in and (basically) go. And, MFP won’t load folders (unless you start grabbing plugins and other mods that require coding experience) - so even if you’re organized with files in folders and names are all exactly correct, you still have to go load individual scripts into the axes.
“I can load the stroke/pitch/roll/valve scripts into the respective L0”
to clarify, do you typically use those .multi.funscript files that contains actions for more than 1 axis?
or do you typically have a video with a couple different funscripts, one for each axis?
just the wording is throwing me off, L0 means the linear axis only doesn’t it?

overall, this feature you are talking about has been talked about by other users and is definitely a high-value feature.
supporting multiple axis. I did do a prototype and some thinking towards this a couple months ago but I felt there were prerequisite features that needed to exist before venturing into this. FunPlayer has since matured so I’ll revisit.
fingers crossed, I’ll be revisiting this feature and working towards it.
will update you on this here on the forum as progress is made.
