Thank you, now I have a problem, the mod shows the exception status on MDRG and the log says that it could not find the mod.json

melon or standard version? can you send the log file by dm?

So I was trying to use this running as a non-steam game with proton and Intiface as the backend. I’ve pretty carefully followed the instructions and Intiface can see my device fine, but the game never seems to interact with Intiface and I’m not sure why. It doesn’t even seem to be trying to connect as even putting random stuff in the cfg for the address doesn’t throw out any errors in the logs

which game version is it? maybe something has changed.

0.96.7 from itch.io. On steam I tried proton experimental, proton 9, and dwproton 10 although I settled on dwproton with the launch options set to “WINEDLLOVERRIDES=“winhttp=n,b” %command%” after following all the other instructions like setting the cfg to Intiface and the url to match what the one on the intiface console.

It did the whole song and dance with BepInEx in a separate terminal that pops up when I run the game and then after a while…nothing. Game just loads in as normal with no indications of anything actually happening with intiface. Intiface logs don’t show anything happening (Although trying to visit the url directly in a browser makes the logs say they rejected the connection, but I don’t see the same error appear when the game runs so I am like semi-confident that’s unrelated right now) and I didn’t see any errors in error logs or regular logs.

Its truly my least favorite kind of issue. The silent kind ;_;

For extra context I am running this on ubuntu although I was too lazy to try building from source or using the linux version since I already had the windows version of the game and proton has treated me well. But all this headache is making me consider trying again with the linux version of everything just to see if it magically fixes everything

i did not test the windows version on proton, but it would make me wonder if that would really work.
Please try the linux version instead :slight_smile:

Well, I tried to go the linux route and the first time I did the ./run_bepinex.sh it segmentation faulted on me ;_;. Linux version of the game opens fine though so I dunno whats up

The installer (Melon Loader) keeps telling me that either HandyMod.dll or version.dll are already in use by another process, but I checked resmon and the installer itself is the only program accessing these files… Any idea on how to fix this please?

In linux, I get Mod.json not found when activating the mod.
I am setting it up with intiface.

Yup, extracted into a clean folder, rebooted, issue persists.

Awesome. I’ll have to check it out.
In the past I would’ve been beyond excited to find this. But ever since purchasing a VR headset. I’ve been spoiled. There’s no going back to 2D.
