[Game Integration] Train45 (EDI)

Thanks for the reply. It definitely works when I use intiface. However, it seems there is a delay

can this mod run on wine/linux ? i’ve tried but couldn’t launch the game from that .bat

I really appreciate it

The Goat gonna check it out right away :saluting_face:

i got a linux build made, i cannot test this myself as i do not operate on linux myself, if you run into any issues do post those to me (log files?), maybe to clear this chat Private message me, but supposedly if you follow the Read Me instructions it might work.

linux build version on main post now

add this to the .zip

run-edi.sh

#!/bin/bash
LANG=en_US.UTF-8 LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8 wine cmd /c "Edi.exe"

this runs EDI with wine without using steam
the variables prevent EDI from crashing on WINE on systems that don’t use US english as the system locale

run-t45.sh

#!/bin/bash
bash "Launch Train45 EDI.sh" wine "Train45.exe"

run the game without steam from the current dir

thank you. updated.

What a goat

Can i ask what the process for making this was like?

Tried testing using the version on F95. The game starts up, and the console says EDI bridge is loaded. But the game just isn’t sending the scripts to EDI.

Would be great if anyone could figure out how to get this version working, as I much prefer to keep NSFW games out of my Steam Library…

EDIT: Testing on the Steam version and there also seems to be issues. EDI says the filler is playing, but nothing is happening? I notice that if I select Definitions.csv in the gallery, I cannot get my device to play any of the scripts directly from EDI. But if I load EDIConfig.json instead, then it can. But still, once in game EDI says filler should be playing, but my device is not reacting.
What might I be doing wrong here?

Loads for me on the F95 version and some scripts run, like filler and the anomalies I’ve tried (which were like maybe 5), but all Rank up Events go quiet and only work again at the climax. I had assumed it would be the difference between versions or me skipping most of the dialogue that gave EDI a stroke but at this point im out of ideas.

I feel like maybe I misinterpreted something in the instructions then. Is this more or less what your install folder looks like?

Filler probably isn’t playing cause it’s not checked, otherwise yes that’s how my folder looks like

I went to the part of the game where the first onahole handjob happens, and nothing played. In fact, EDI was still showing filler as playing, when the console said the handjob script should be. Weird…

Strangely, now I can get filler to play but still not the first handjob script. I reloaded EDI again and just didn’t bother re-selecting the definitions. I’ve played alot of EDI mods and this one is structured strangely.

Funnily enough, that one played for me during the dialogue part, I’m not sure if it also played during the free-look part but I think it did. I know for sure that none up the Girl Events up to Rank 4 played during at least the free-look part. I haven’t extensively tested though, I kinda just speedran everything so it might be cause I didn’t change anything in the EDI.

Yeah even on the Steam version, EDI is simply not receiving the script

Yeah I’m kinda out of my depth here, sorry I can’t help you on this. Hopefully one of the people who know their way around EDI can help you out.

Ok I may have figure it out, and it might be my bad. I don’t think that handjob scene during dialog even has a script. Once I entered the little control game, then a script would play. I’ll keep testing, but it seems maybe not every H-scene is scripted like I expect. I think they should be, and if someone can provide me recordings I’m happy to fill in those blanks myself.

story H events are not linked, but the scene afterwards where you can yourself control the speed are all linked

edit: you seem to also be using an older version of EDI, not sure if that could be cause for any issues? do any of the scripts show up on the dropdown menu for selecting an action?

Yeah I didn’t realize there was a new EDI version. I don’t think that was the issue though, because I was able to see and play scripts from the drop down in both EDI versions. It just seems the older EDI had more trouble with just selecting the definitions file. I had to close and reopen it and have it auto pick up the config.json and then I could see the scripts.
