Hi there! Usually when i use my Handy i try to employ a “Local” application tu run funscripts because sometimes i have some issues with delay on some web browsers (or even the Handyfeeling page lags a lot).
Well the thing is that im having some issues when i want to reproduce some videos with ScriptPlayer…
Like in the last time nearly the 96% of the videos i can run it without a problem but some for example this one im leaving here…
The application like constantly be with a black screen and end up or frozing in there or sometimes its was heard the music of the video but all the time the screen is in black…
Usually i use as Media Player: VLC and when i run the video it runs perfectly, even when i use handyfeeling or funscript.io the video runs well and the script too its just some issue that i have with ScriptPlayer…
My question is if someone have the same problem as me and how can i “fix” it? Because i usually place a playlist of videos to watch and right now because that happen on the application its really awfull when you are “in the mood”…
Hope someone can help me and please if this thread is not properly placed please move it where it belongs!
Hi,
If I understand you correctly then to play a video with the funscript you always use web or ScriptPlayer. But the video I made (that you linked) is not correctly displaying in ScriptPlayer but plays ok in VLC (which will not send a script on it’s own).
I stopped using ScriptPlayer as the video player as soon as I found out that you can connect another video player to play a video and script player will just send the funscript.
In my case I use MPC-HC which works flawlessly and I know that VLC will work as well.
To make it work in VLC you need to set up it first:
go to Tools->Preferences and at the bottom of the window there should be Show Settings option. Set it to “All”.
Then on the left side go to Interface->Main Interfaces and select Web.
Inside Main Interfaces go to Lua tab and in the Lua HTTP group set up a password only.
Save settings and restart the VLC.
Now inside ScriptPlayer go to Settings->Players and for the VLC set IP:Port to 127.0.0.1:8080 (its your local network), and the password to what you set up in VLC.
Save settings, and select VLC from “Video Player” tab at the top, if VLC is not running then the message in the middle will be “Start VLC and activate the webinterface in the preferences.”
Now if you open VLC and play a video, the ScriptPlayer will detect that video and just play a funscript.
As @b3p3s mentioned, you can make a playlist inside VLC.
Let me know if this works for you or if you want to try MPC-HC.
Please explain it this even further with some images on how can i do it because yeah i have as “default media player” to reproduce ScriptPlayer videos the VLC but for example some videos who was the subtitles separatly from the .mp4 file those subtitles are not reproduced either…
Hi quantoz! i Just mention your video because was one of the “last” videos that it has that issue there are several other that make me this problem when i wanted to reproduce it with ScriptPlayer…
As i mention before i place a playlist inside of scriptplayer to watch the videos i like so the handy can handle it. Then maybe one of those videos (for example yours) gives that issue (if it is on a playlist the image got frozen in the last frame that the previous video reproduce, if you use it for the first time it showns you a black screen and then could happen 2 things, first one, it reproduce the video without image, only the sounds of it and the script performs well or the second one is that the script never start at all and there is no sound and image into it.
Im trying to find alternatives for Scriptplayer because sometimes it really bothers me to wait like 10 seccons for the handy to start running the script during the video and when it does the device try to be “sync” but with all the motions that happen before so if you can give me some tutorial on how to use you device it could be great!.
Now for the instructions you give me what you are meaning is i need to have both programs opened? like VLC to reproduce the videos and Script player to only reproduce the funscript with those settings???.
If you can tell me if thats the case then i will try to follow those instructions and see if with that i can fix my issue but if i can have one application to run everything could be awesome!
Ok, so first of all:
Yes, you need to have both programs opened at the same time!
VLC will play the video and hold your playlist, ScriptPlayer will play a funscript and will connect to your handy. It should look like this:
Awesome then i follow up all those steps you mentioned and set up VLC now as my media player to visualize the videos and ScriptPlayer to reproduce the funscripts.
What i don’t know what was the step you mention to set up the delay of the funscript.
I set up an option in the past on Scriptplayer that pause the video till the script is loaded on the handy (because its not ENTIRELY Local the conectivity between handy and ScriptPlayer with the web mode in the handy device (pink light)) So usually the video pauses and the script started despise of that the script still misses sometimes the first seconds of imputs so sometimes i go back the video to be “from the begining”.
What im worried now is with this new configuration Scriptplayer will “understand” if i go backwards or forward on the video to reproduce the funscript in the moment that is the video or with those keys you mention i need to “balance” the delay of the device? (i never temper the delay of the device because i only “see” it when im playing Fap Heroes (the beatbar give me the tempo and if the device is offset then i can know that or my device is wrong or the script is offset)
If you skip forward in VLC, the script in ScriptPlayer should also skip forward automatically because this connection you defined in both programs between VLC and ScriptPlayer is making them to be at the same time (or we can say “in sync”).
What I’m referring to with the keys I mentioned (Script delay) is that sometimes the stroke instructions sent from the ScriptPlayer to your handy are being send too soon or too late, and actions of the device are not in sync with the actions in the video. With this keys you can make the script player to send strokes earlier (or later) so they arrive at the right time at your device and action on the screen is the same as the movement of your device. - This is simplification on how this works because some time ago TheHandy got firmware update and scripts are executed differently.
Just try this setup, click the keys and see for yourself what I mean.
Sure i will try it yesterday i played your SWZB compilation and first when the handy started to move was really behind of the beats in the beatbar then i started the video from the begining and then it seems that issue was corrected (still some patters were not so smooth or got some delay into it). So i will try to use those hot keys to see if that do the trick thanks for your explanations and the time to make those things clear for me!!!
One last question about this matter… Yesterday i tried to run this configuration in a Folder (different with the ones i usually have the files on it) and any script runs (all said that scripts were missing and that was weird because those scripts have the same name and were in the same place as the video).
I need to stablish a route so scriptplayer find those scripts or should they need to be run without a problem?
TLDR: When i tested this the scripts and videos were in C:Folder/Video+Script (This works)
Yesterday when i got this issue i tried to run in this path: C:Folder/Folder/Video+Script (This doesn’t work).
