How to rename your library files

Found intersting software RenamerX to quickly get rid of junk or information you dont need in the filenames, codecs, resolution that is not correct any more. You edit like a textfile also mutiple lines and then apply.

get it 30% cheaper with Promocode SPRING

I have nothing to do with them

Why don’ you just get some random VSCode extension

demo

OK that would work but its not really batch renaming I need but cut out blocks within multiple files and quickly edit single files.

Would https://www.advancedrenamer.com/ work for you? I’ve been using it for years to add and omit from filenames in batch plus I think it does a few other things as well though off top of my head I cannot recall. Its easy to use also, so no learning curve or the ability to code in some random specific computer language is needed to use it.

Hope that possibly helps.

As a man who parses HTML with RegEx I don’t see any problem with cutting any blocks in general

But you probably want Ctrl+F to search and replace and Ctrl-D to select the next same text

Totalcommander has extreme batch renaming capabiities I always used. But still removing snippets quickly I find RenamerX the fastest as you just work on the filelist like an image you erase something from, without accessing a new file. So what I want to say there are many tools that change recurring stuff but there is only RenamerX that can handle differing naming fast I found. VS Mass renamer could be similar.

I use AllDup & FileRenamer for files and folders pretty OP
