Are there plans to implement Serial control support? Such as TCode?

My Handy is still on fw3 because there is a fw4 issue that handy team still not resolve (update failling and changing queue too) and i wanna use intiface like i use to faptap but it is not working.
Connexction to handy via firefox or chrome extension ok, video ans script ok in extension, sync is green but handy dont play script…
Any idea?
Has anyone gotten this working for VR videos on the quest 2 or 3?
In theory it should work with the firefox based browser like wolvic, Im trying to figure it out right now.
The load script thing on Eroscripts doesn’t work as it doesn’t recognize the links from the comments. And loading the script on eporner for example doesn’t work manually either which is frustrating.
I also cant paste the link from the comments on Eroscripts ive Load & Play thingy, which seems like a huge shortcoming…? The video source is just empty with no way to manually fix it.
Could this be done please? And also, if I click on a video link from Eroscripts comments, could the settings be changed to just automatically think that I want to Load and Play and that is the source I want…?

In the end I got everything added manually into the hub, but even that now doesn’t seem to work at all. The handy is not moving at all even if the heatmap shows up and it is connected etc etc. So I have no idea why it is bugging, I tried a couple websites and adding scripts via link or downloading, nothing works.
Still a lot of work to do it seems - seems good for basic flat screen stuff and especially if one has mouse and keyboard, but for touch screens and VR there is so much manual copy pasting, typing, clicking and switching windows/tabs constantly that it was really frustrating to use.
Cant wait for this to hopefully evolve later on and to get to use this more often! And maybe I’ll get this still working - not sure what there still is to try! :)
IVE 2.3.0 is now public!
IVE v2 has been rebuilt from the ground up and is finally available to everyone.
The new release includes:

- Support for The Handy, Autoblow, Lovense, and many more devices

- A new local player
- The Cloud Hub with more than 35,000 scripts

This is by far the biggest IVE release yet.

Massive downgrade. The whole library IVE had is gone, no way to access it.
Everything worked flawlessly before and now it needs a “companion” application to be installed.
Library gone, hub not accessable without patreon subscription, local hub files are all gone.
If it worked without issues as a browser extention, why change it so that you also need to install stuff on windows? That’s not an upgrade, its a downgrade. Biggest IVE dissapointement.

What happened to the IVE button on the videos ? It disappeared since I installed the new update ?

I get the reaction, everything that was there should still be there. The only addition is that it now has to have The Companion. Having everything in the extension alone became very limited.
The change to companion is there for a few reasons: local play, proper bluetooth support, serial (soon), vr (soon) and other features people asked for. I also had to move device connectivity out of the extension for Chrome to allow it back into the store.
As for the local library everything is still there with The Companion, it is automatically converted and available on IVE - Interactive Video Experience. No paid access needed, that is just to get access to the cloud version!

It really is no different than the many local library apps out there now.
I understand that the way you want to move forward needs the companion app, but this broke IVE for users that liked version 1.4.
This is a major change for us Add-On only enjoyers, or people on mobile.
The need to install a (by windows untrusted) program is not something everybody is willing to do.
Why don’t we get the old IVE back?
Give us the option to download the v2 + companion, for people who want the newly released functions.
If you won’t update the old platform, that’s okay. If it still works, don’t fix it.
I lost my library now, because I haven’t installed your companion software thats flagged by windows 11 as untrusted. A roleback from you to 1.4 would be amazing. Give people the option to change, don’t force them to install untrusted .exe’s on to their pc’s to get their libraries back…

Yes, I now see that the changes were a bit too drastic for how some people use IVE. I got some feedback around this on Discord as well. Again, my goal wasn’t to make it a bad thing!
I’ll make a version how it was before, including the local hub as part of the extension so it will be all in one, making you not even need iveplay.io all together.
Please give me some days to build this and make it available 
People can then choose which version they prefer!

I installed the companion. The little icon that used to appear on the top right of the thumbnail is no longer there. The actual add on on firefox does nothing really. Only a “float a video” button appears wich doesn’t realy do anything useful.
I did see your reply about fixing some of the issues, so I guess i’ll wait and see.
going to keep an eye on this, excited to be able to get a functioning extension only version again.
I’m going to keep an eye on this as well. It also broke mine and removed my whole library and I’m bummed.

This is the original extension-only version of IVE now shipped with the local hub as part of it. You can download it here.
This version will be in maintenance mode only, so no major changes or features, but I might still do some bugfixes.
To install The Legacy on Chrome, because it is not in the store:
Open chrome://extensions and enable “developer mode”, refresh and drag and drop the .crx file on top of the other extensions.
IVE 2.6.0 bugfixes
This one is mainly bug fixes with one feature, a re-sync button on the video controls to re-sync the script. There are also a lot of bugfixes:
- Proper script invert
- Actually show handy offset and range controls
- Funscripts with decimals are now parsed correctly
- Playing scripts from the hub should now work for all of them, if not, an error state in the extension is added
- Better URL detection
- Improved player settings controls
- Disconnect and stop on handy now actually disconnects
- More smaller bugs
Browser extension updates should be rolling out soon, so everything should be automatic, if not, you can download IVE here: IVE - Interactive Video Experience

Thank you for releasing the legacy mode. I can see my old library again in the extention.
Sadly, the thumbnails do not work anymore. This makes the searching in the hub less pleasant.
I’ve checked and even with working url’s, the thumbnail just doesn’t display.
If you find the time to fix this, I’d be very greatful.
Happy to have the hub back in this extention-only version. Kudos.

I downloaded the legacy browser extension but I don’t see my library in the hub, is there anything I need to do? I tried doing import and selecting json files from my documents folder where the library is saved but it gave an error stating unsupported format. It happens with multiple entries I try.
Update after some testing on The Legacy version. For us extention-only users.

Even when you add new scripts, the thumbnails are not there.
Site support that’s no longer working:
Custom URL’s:
When adding websites to custom urls it doesn’t work.
Special mention about gofile, you can see it wants to work. IVE shows for a second and dissappears. It doesn’t matter if you include it on the custom url list.
This behaviour is not seen on pmhaven, where it doesnt show at all.
The legacy version is not where IVE was before the big 2.3.0 release.
It works on some websites, but not on all.
I wish I could get the 1.4 version back, which worked on 90%+ of listings here on ero.
The Legacy version as of now is very buggy
So specifically to the extension itself, I didn’t do any updates.
But thinking of it, I did do an upgrade to it but never published it. So I might have to rollback to a version before it.
Aditionally all old releases are still available for download, it is only that they do not have their own hub.

The hub is copied over, so there might be bugs in it, but I will look at those.
Also The legacy version is fully open source!
