This is true, and my comments aren’t really directed at those users.
But when I logged in this morning, the top two posts in my feed were from Madscripts. One was this complaint, and the other was a script with a SpankBang link. How does a pirated porn link feed into the industry? What costs more to make, a porno or a funscript?
I appreciate the work scripters do for the community, and again, I’m not uploading anything to these sites and never will. But sharing pirated porn while complaining about your work being stolen sounds pretty hypocritical to me.
this is making me wonder, are you guys getting paid for the scripts you make somehow? My script is on the front page of that website and if someone else is making money off of it before i do then i will feel weird about that lol
I have never seen a dime for any of my scripts (other then the collaboration with the OSR2 unit from g90ak)
And one of my scripts is the 1st one on the page…
The difference is that most people here make scripts for free, and I am against the fact that someone wants to make money on it. As for pirate sites, I think if they interfered with porn studios, they would be closed.
i saw a few of my own on bukkake.moe a month or so ago, i was bummed for a second that there’s no credit but figured i couldn’t do anything about it anyway. fuck em
If it’s your work, try to file a DMCA takedown. It may go nowhere, but if they’re hosted in the US it’s a felony to leave it up after the takedown request from the rights-holder. And a lot of other countries force cooperation with DMCA protections too.
Filing the notice also removes the content from Google search results.
Again guys, let it silently die. I think the OP was a mistake here because sites like this only gain from drama around it. Honestly till today many people probably didn’t even knew about it.
It’s worth mentioning that ad revenue on no-known sites like this is probably laughably small, so once they have their patreon shut down, I’m pretty sure most of their income (2 patrons btw) will vanish.
Hey, so I’m the site owner.
I never wanted to make anyone feel that their content was being ripped/stolen.
I don’t make any money off the the site, I could provide receipts to prove so.
Any money that gets donated or from ads (which I don’t have access too because of payment with drawl limit) goes directly into the site. I’ve made this clear that I want this to be non-profit project.
Currently hosting is $20ish a month, not including the initial domain/separate hosting. I’m taking a loss on this due to only receiving around $40 on pattern.
I’m sorry if I’ve upset any creators as I was just trying to provide an alternative streaming platform that was completely free.
If would like your scripts removed, or added credit please let me know as I would be happy to do so.
Or if removing ads would make things better.
Again. I’m sorry and I never intended to make money off of this, just was frustrated with the current setup of having to download scripts and videos with non mobile playback
Before starting this, it was worth getting the opinion of the creators of the scripts. I think many would agree to post their scripts with the original link. @basicgirl
I agree, but I’m not the person uploading the ones that don’t have credit and don’t have any way of knowing if these are created by said uploader. Videos that I have personally uploaded from here have credit. I should have asked for permission before doing so which is my fault.
@basicgirl I think you need to apologize to some of the prominent members/scripters here directly and give them some sort of assurances that their work will not be used without there consent moving forward.
If you are creating a platform that features scripts so prominently that is the least you can do.
Oh look. A group of parasites, ripping of other peoples Work and not giving any credit. Took you long enough.
Its the same in all User-Created-Content-Communitys. Some put in a shit-ton of work, just to get their Work ripped of and not getting any credit for it. We all know that the work we put up on the internet is out of our hands, and everyone can do anything with it. But uploading it to other sides and not giving any credit ist just … low. Well, there will always be parasites.
I was wondering, when it will happen with funscripts. Took a lot longer, than in other Communitys.
I guess that’s the problem. without a watermark or intro into the video personally myself I’m unable to tell who made what script. the report function has always been on the site.
I’ve added a checkbox to the upload form which isn’t much.
again, if you want your video removed or credit added. please report it.
You would be suprised how many people would try to help you with your project if you just asked. Remember that YOU are responsible for scripts and videos posted on your site and things could go pretty wild if people started using the site as bypass to post paid scripts and such.
Open those two scripts in the notepad and scroll right to the bottom of it:
Do you see “Sassy” or “GoofyGoober” there? I don’t recall changing my username either recently. You have to agree that finding your work shared this way caused upset for a lot of people here. Because of the format of the scripts itself it’s very hard to add your signature, beacuse it can be easily edited. For videos it’s much easier to add the watermark, because most people won’t cut/cover a part of the video. It doesn’t help that some people on your site adds videos called e.g. “aa” or similar. It makes it really hard to find your original work there. If you want you can leave both scripts be, but it would be nice gesture to at least add a link to the original post/ eroscripts, just so people are aware of it origin.
I agree with @Husky and would advise you to fully check all videos uploaded by other users. I found 7 mine there. I’ll link to them in a private message. As long as this is not a commercial project, I agree to their placement with a link to my portfolio. But I advise you to better monitor what is posted on your site. @basicgirl
Sucks to hear that there’s such commotion going on, especially after I feel like scripters voiced the lack of appreciation and I think the community stepped up a bit and started being more active on posts, hearting content they liked etc. Just another thing to make scripters feel unappreciated.
Hopefully this doesn’t lead anyone into a decision to stop sharing, there are a lot more people who are grateful than not.
Better form would be to remove all existing scripts and then consult scripters if it’s okay to reupload. Nobody wants to go through your site to report when it’s YOUR responsibility to review and take them down
