Method for extending a video and making an iframe copy?

Let’s say I have a looping video that I want to extend and script. Is it better to:

A. Extend the original video, then make an iframe copy of the extension to script on

or

B. Make an iframe copy of the original video, then extend the copy, then script the extended copy?

You have then the final cut/edit of the video you wanna watch later on done and ready, that’s what you will keep, and that’s what should get turned to IFrames.
IFramed is just for scripting, an temporary version you’re gonna delete at some point later on.
