That would be awesome. So far I have questions like “alright I installed 4 things, the main game, the app you provided, the vlc app and finally multifunplayer, now what do I do with each?” As you say I guess I just have to run your app and then just import the file of the original game, then when you do that you just take a look at the options in there or something or do I have to further do something with the VLC and multifunplayer? I will look into it for myself now to try and get the answers myself, but it would be great for other people to also have this guide so thanks for the reply.

Yeah so as of now, when I open your app nothing appears as in like images, once I click start then the roulette starts and etc. It doesnt ask me to import anything as far as I am seeing. Then I have selected the library for the videos but apparently they dont show, do I need to have VLC and MultiFunPlayer both opened with your app so it can work? My bad for this, I usually use a web for syncing the device with the video.
I have just finished typing out a First run/Installation guide. Can you give it a short review to see if it needs further explanation/expansions

Hmhm in the next update I can make it a popup when files are missing. Currently it’s just a small status message at the very bottom of the app.
And yes, VLC has to be open for playlists to play, the bratty companion only plays the roulette part of the experience.
Update: In the next update i will
- include a written Instruction in the installation files
- a first-launch pop up asking to “Import asar / I already did this.”
- Restructure the folder to place all companion files under "BrattyCompanion\Gamble\
That last step is an headache and a halve to implement but worth it for end-user clarity.

Great work with that guide, although I may be doing something wrong I dont know. So I placed the app.asar file from the main game into your app, and opened the brattycompanion.exe, maybe I am blind or something but I dont see any “Import” button or anything like it. You mentioned it says in the top if you are missing any files and mine just says “ready”, so I guess it is alright? Then, following the guide, I checked the VLC “web” box and setted a password, opened then the app again and in settings copied that same exact password, but when clicking test player I get an error saying “VLC test failed:HTTP error: error sending request for url”. I noticed that in the port of my VLC it does not say 8080, but 4212, so I tried going with that one instead but I got the same message. This is as far as I got but I think the guide is pretty well explained and even if I didn’t get it to run, maybe it works for other people.
Import
The import button is tucked away in Settings:
Troubleshooting VLC:
Changing your VLC port - Do the following while VLC is closed:
In explorer go to: %APPDATA%\vlc
Open the: vlcrc file in notepad
CTRL+F to: # HTTP server port (integer)
Default would have been 8080, if its different then that means it was altered or already in use by a different service. as a alternate you could make it 9090 
If that still does not work than confirm in the VLC settings if the Web and password were saved correctly. (VLC has to be closed and re-opened upon changing these values)
– It could be that instead of closing completely your VLC is instead minimizing to the task tray, make sure that restarting it is really exiting VLC and not just minimizing
Task tray is that little arrow next to the windows clock in the bottom right:
Ah… 4212 has a different purpose, its probably 8080 still for you. But the above comment will tell you how to confirm your setting. (the vlcrc file)
Alright I think I see the issue here. In my version (Free 1.18), there is no “Import asar” button next to the Story key box, maybe that’s that. As for the VLC I checked it and it is indeed 8080, just that I didnt restart the app when trying it again, now it does show in green for a sec, thanks for the help.

v1.23 update - Wasted way too much time nitpicking details and what-if fail-states
But the reward is:
- We now include a guide in the .zip
- When files are missing, or a first-time use is detected it now prompts people to the ‘Import asar’ function.
- We now migrate the Companion data to a new layout to potentially offer more companion experiences in the future.
The on-boarding hopefully feels a little more intuitive now.
