Not really. When searching porn BDSM usually brings up maledom and such while femdom is specifically femdom.

Well, are you searching for specifically femdom or just 100’s of things that could be considered BDSM? It’s just a broad out of range category. Maledom, Femdom, and Bondage make way more sense and are specific to what a user would be searching…

Usually I’m searching for lezdom, but that’s not important right now.
It’s not that I’m not all for more specific tags, but I’ve gotten the impression from @hugecat’s comments that there are limits to how much that’s feasible for this forum software, so having some things under big umbrella categories might be unavoidable.

in terms of feasibility, what you see right now is what you get.
Users with a high trust level are able to create tags and mods can manage them I believe.
The issue is more about balancing granularity with brevity. I’d like a list of tags that at a high level can hit all the bases people want, be easy to tag off the top of your head, and unified enough to search without too much digging.

Taking a look at the tag usage on scripts right now, some include many tags, some include one tag, and some include none.
This inconsistent use of tags is still helpful for browsing through the list, but loses a lot of power if you want to search using tags. What are people’s opinions on tag usage right now? Is this something we should be looking to increase? Is it the poster’s job, or perhaps more of a crowd sourced task?

The VR tag is more or less the only thing I look at. Since almost no VR videos are available as full length on pornhub and similar sites it all comes around to if I have the video or not anyway. If I have the video then I’m most likely interested in trying the script regardless.
Tags are probably more useful when there is a video link where you can download the video. A tag for “video link available” might be good. Some use a pornhub tag, but there are other sites as well so a more generic one is probably better. If you know that you can get the video then you are probably interested of the type of video and other tags can help with that.

I like this Idea, I can commit to starting to add that tag to Posts later today. I need to go to bed. 
The last topics I have created showed me this tags as option so I thought “ok thats all” and skipped that part.
I thought searching is only necessary if the list is too big but the list seems to show only the top tags.
I guess some other members also do not know this.

Yep, I thought so too. Some of the tags I originally suggested did actually already exist, I just didn’t know for the same reason.
If only the dropdown worked more like the tags filter used when browsing the forums. That one at least displays all the tags that have been used so far.
I think I can increase the number shown in the dropdown. But too many and there can be usability problems.

Should probably introduce some “trigger” tags for the things that are a little more taboo.
I know I saw a video or 2 on here that said they had furry stuff, step family is another that can be offensive to people.
Others have already mentioned BDSM
Tags for triggers: BDSM, furry, stepfamily, rough, flogging, age play, choking, etc
Not saying we need to add all of them, I am not squeamish so nothing really bothers me but this is the internet and some people are more sensitive.
I would also like to shamelessly plug for a schoolgirl tag as that is my go to fetish

I think incest could make sense (replacing step family) and hardcore (instead of rough)?
As for schoolgirl, we already have a cosplay tag. Not sure if that’s unique enough for it’s own separate tag?

While I’m a big fan of schoolgirl as well, I think it’s too specific, unless other tags are added such as nurse and maid.
So I think uniform could be a tag for things such as schoolgirl, nurse and maid. The distinction between cosplay and uniform is that cosplay is referring to people dressing up as specific characters, where as uniform is referring to people dressed up based on occupations.

I agree it would be nice to know ahead of time if the post has content considered “taboo”. Likewise, I agree that taboo as a tag would be too general. I don’t mind having specific tags for step-family and incest. Personally, they are different enough in my eyes to deserve their own tags.
Same regarding cosplay, I think we should narrow down to attire or who the subject of the cosplay is. Like Spider-Woman, Lara Croft, Nurse, Maid, etc.
I am not too sure we should have too be concerned about other peoples preferences at all. People are sharing their work. If it is not your cup of tea that is fine, just move on.
We are not requiring tags to be mandatory at this time. This is in an effort to make it as simple as possible for people to share their work. As I see posts that are lacking tags I will do my best to add them.
Side question, I am looking at the Elizabeth Burial at Sea post and considering tags. SFM is an obvious one. What does everyone think about adding the game title as a tag in the case that the character in the video is from a video game? Likewise, when the video has a character from an anime or some other form of media etc?

we already have tags for cartoon and cgi so SFM seems kind of duplicative.
Also for the game title, it seems too specific for a tag. That sounds like it belongs in the title or post body.
