I watched a video with a discussion that inspired me to make this meme, It was talking about different levels of sex/porn “dependency”. Referencing female nymphomania, to male satyriasis (albeit quite rare, but with the “magic” blue pill these days, it could be an “enabling” factor). The video started off with the standard “blame and shame” game of how Men are to blame for the rampant expansion of pornography ever since the internet went wide. Even though, according to web usage data from such sites, Women consume an equal amount of adult content as Men, and in greater percentages then Men in some particularly disturbing categories (forced/r*pe of female, gang-bang/“Men on Female” and violent/degrading sex). And Women comprise over 80% of models making adult content. (because you know…“empowerment”…)
They presented different “levels” of sex/porn dependency:
“Recreational” - “For fun” types of experiences, with the ability to “regulate” consumption to a “hobbyist” level.
“Escapist” - To overcome emotional/physical issues (that’s mine) To me, “Gooning” is the 21st Century version of “Tantric Meditation”, which is a method used to achieve a “trance” state through prolonged sexual stimulation/endorphin release (and hopefully, “Enlightenment” in some form…be it stress reduction/relaxation, or a way to “clear the mind” of the “static” that fills it.. memories, concerns, regrets, etc.)
“Control” - Either the loss of one’s own ability to be able to regulate consumption (“addiction”) or gaining a feeling of control over others by consuming/“directing”, “custom” content (“Live” services, etc.)
The topic made me think of a famous quote used by Hunter S. Thompson in his classic story, “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”…
The quote is from 18th-century writer Samuel Johnson, in a conversation with a Woman who had remarked that She recounted dining somewhere the previous day where “there had been a good deal of hard drinking” among the gentlemen present.
Samuels responded, *“I wonder, Madam, that you have not penetration to see the strong inducement to this excess; for he who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a Man.”
It also reminded me of a song I really liked from , “back in the Day” (and was even used in the movie “Lost in Translation”)…

Well put together meme and analysis.
I’m, sadly, one of those with a condition that affects mood to the extremes, and usually settles in one of them for a long while. This effects my consumption and general sexual activity greatly. I would currently classify myself as an “escapist”, even though i try to reach the “tantric meditation”-level just to make the escape last longer. But its hard (ironic pun intended) to find motivation, even though it makes me feel better for a short while.
And the blue pill only make it easier to get an erection, and does not make your libido higher (at least not directly).
Lastly: The “blame and shame”-angle prevalent in certain online fora exacerbates the reason i have to escape from my emotions. Thank you for briefly addressing this.

I have had arguments on here relating gynocentrism no matter the issue is these people view men as the problem hence blame and shame. Even with fictional media they find issue with what men enjoy and no other group. June is men’s health month (no one talks about it) so take care of your health we all have a lot of pain some of which gooning makes worse ironically.

Thank you for the reply, and the compliment!
Yes, the “blue pills” are just at “tool” (
) to achieve an end.

Thank you for your reply!
I always settle the Gynocentrism areguement with this:
“Open a web browser and type in ‘womenshealth.gov’…
And you get a nice Government sponsored web site, full of health tips and advice for women.
Now, type in ‘menshealth.gov’…
‘ERROR 404 no such dns’…
Now you know who ‘runs the show’…”
Gynocentrism and hypergamy are the reason why many of us do what we do…
At least with gooning, I get some good cardio with it…
