This is really annoying… Yesterday i had almost a hundred notifications, most of them from topics that were several years old. Today i had another 25 new notifications, most of them from 2021-2023, no new comments, i havn’t interacted with the topic… What on earth is going on, and is there a way to stop it?
IIRC i think the op editing the post might also set off the notification. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but that might be the issue. If its a bunch of notifications from the same person they might be updating links. I also know someone is going around and adding length tags to posts.
So yeah other than that idk.
Yeah, I suspect it might be due to @Dimava adding length tags.
Did you watched the topics? You only get notification if it’s “watched”.
If you haven’t done so, change the Tracking button at the bottom to Normal then you should only get notifications when someone likes or replys to you.
These are all from topics i’ve never interacted with, i’m obviously not tracking them like that. And even if i were, some of them havn’t had a single reply in over a year.
The only thing i can think of is that it’s sending me notifications because i’m watching the tags, and the creator updated his tags on his old topics for some reason.
Either way, it’s super annoying to get “new” notifications, from threads created several years ago.
