Could you share those links to modifying normal servos to below 20db..that sound amazing!!
OSR2+ built by Vespera originally, had 35kg 9imod servos and the twist is easily the noisiest part.
Heat was an issue, as I like longer scripts and the cooling was passive - after changing out the chassis (mount points failed, the new design they’re putting out took in my feedback and these look much better) and upgrading to the CraftyHandy 45kg servos, plus adding a fan lid and Noctua fan, the device is noticeably quieter, but not something I would call significant over a passive cooling device.
Quality servos are really the key.
Devices are never silent even using lube with a fleshlight isn’t silent
Vibration is also a factor I forgot what vendor it was but there is someone on here a device that vibrates/shakes less
