SLR AI generated scripts: latest updates

June 26th, 2023. “Are safe use for use, but would not pass quality check”

And you still sold them to people.

Let me just add that a lot of manual scripts do not pass the quality check on the first go. Many creators have to make corrections and adjustments to their scripts, before they actually go live.
It does not make AI Scripts perfect, I just want to point out that our QA process is quite strict.

That said, as doublevr suggested, these scripts can be a good starting point for someone willing to adjust it to his liking and then use it without having to go through a whole process from 0.

Scripts that are “a good starting point for someone willing to adjust it to his liking and then use it” should not be being sold to unsuspecting customers. Thank you for making them unlimited downloads for script subscribers, but non-subs still pay for this “product” as though it were a usable script.

Yeah, we are being completely open and transparent, engage openly with the community, take in their feedback and adjust.
Yet you act as if we are trying to deceive you.

You are talking to creators and enthusiasts here. The post I screenshotted is from your boss’ post on your own forums entitled “AI Scripts We Nailed It” which was begins with the sentence, “I can’t be more excited we finally managed to get AI scripting right.”

Your boss is cross-posting and shilling everywhere that your AI scripting is awesome, SLR is charging customers nearly the same amount for these that you do for hand-crafted ones, but 18 posts down the thread, you admit that they wouldn’t pass quality control.

I’m not “acting” like the company is being shady, it is being shady.

Even you own scripter knows what’s up:

@doublevr is trying to assess best how much quality you guys are willing to sacrifice for the sake of faster and more scripts, because realistically, and I think everyone knows whos scripted and uses scripts, that there will undoubtedly be a reduction in quality”

“over time, the customer will just be ultimately stuck with overall lesser quality scripts, unless of course scripts are thoroughly checked and edited, which then adds back time to scripting negating time savings”

The company releases them because they are cheap. They aren’t “thoroughly checked and edited” because you leave the flaws in on purpose to see if we’ll still buy them. Your overall quality control has declined for the same reason. SLR charges for AI even though they wouldn’t pass QC because SLR is concerned with making things as cheap as possible more than delivering a quality product. Your “transparency” with the community is only useful for the company to mine us for free beta-testing and ideas.

@Kieshi
If scripts written in humans pass the review, why scripts written by AI don’t pass it? I probably know the answer - AI scripts didn’t pass human review
Actually, I think that AI scripts are reviewed by some algorithm for conformity to basic patterns.

I once wrote my thoughts on the future of AI scripts.

The pareto principle works almost 100% of the time and SLR is only at the beginning of the way (with 20% effort they achieved 80% accuracy in scripts) and the maximum will be something around 96-98% accuracy, which is comparable to a human, but not to a professional (there I think all 105-120% accuracy). Yes I myself put more points in scripts than necessary :).
The main problem of users and AI of SLR scripts is selling them for the same money as scriptors, but that’s because users don’t see the inner workings. In fact, my opinion, SLR - by selling AI script protects people writing scripts, other sites that provide AI scripts for free kill the direction of hand written scripts. The user until he tries a dozen scripts written by humans will not understand the difference.

I think there is some misconception about the QA.

The AI scripts go through the same QA process as human made scripts on SLR. By the same QA people. SLR is well aware these scripts are not up to standard as we give them a failing grade every time. The only time however the QA team can actually veto an AI script, is if there are safety concerns.

The AI scripts are always posted unedited by a human, even though we easily could.

Didn’t know that, thanks for the explanation.
If the AI scripts are as good as human-written scripts and QA has confirmed that they are good - where are the complaints coming from? Maybe the bias of spoiled users…

Up to this point, QA has never confirmed any AI script as good.

@flowerstrample They aren’t as good, which Rakly3 wrote.

I purposely didn’t comment - as @Rakly3 contradicts himself in two posts.
If a human script passes the review, it is corrected until it is rated “good”.
If an AI script passes the review, then it passes with a “bad” rating
So QA can’t influence in any way - and my original assumption is more true

I’m not contradicting myself. I’m just saying what is going on.

I don’t decide if the AI scripts get posted or not. Unless I deem them unsafe for use.
It has been said many times, the AI scripts currently are not final products.

I’m sorry if I expressed myself incorrectly, English is not my native language.
I noted - despite passing the AI review, the scripts still go on sale without a “good” rating:

  1. SLR needs it, because it needs more resources to achieve 96-98% accuracy of scripts.
  2. It is necessary for us scriptwriters, so users can compare and vote with dollars in favor of humans
  3. It allows the industry to grow and maybe go beyond porn someday (I’m sure there is a future for sex education and home videos).

They are not passing QA review, They only pass the ‘safe for use’ review.

Despite there being a price mentioned, the scipts are free for download, and don’t count towards the 3 downloads per month that come with a subsciption.

I just wanted to point out that the 3 scripts per month download limit is absolutely ridiculous. On the low end, I would think 10 would suffice. I could then add multi-axis after screening a few, etc, but only 3? That’s crazy. Hate this about SLR.

This is less on SLR and more on scripters needing to eat, premium subscription money is divided among scripters, if everyone has that many script downloads available to themselves, scripters will make substantially less money and then you’ll have less scripts releasing than you can download with your new limit since there’s no incentive

I suppose that’s the best argument for it that I’ve seen.

You’re basically asking the scripters to work for free. If it was up to the scripters, there would be 0 downloads. It’s SLR that managed to get you the three that you have now.

QA (done by these scripters) also isn’t free and can be quite time consuming.

Or let me put it this way. when you use a locally downloaded script, the scripter doesn’t get paid.

Enjoy unlimited scripts downloads with pay per script :ok_hand:

Problem solved
