SLR AI generated scripts: latest updates

Thats still the way it works for me. In order to see any scenes that only have AI scripts, I have to click the link to “Sex Toy Scripts (AI)”

When you click “Sex Toy Scripts” and filter by “NEW” you DO NOT get newly crafted handmade scripts. You used to, but now you get anything with a handmade script that ALSO got an AI script recently. Currently when you do this, the second video in the sort is “Take Me Harder” by VRLatina, which got a handmade script nearly six months ago (as clearly indicated in the comments). However, since they generated an AI script for this already scripted scene, it now shows up in the “new” sort, even though the only thing new is the crappy AI script. And since they are flooding us with scripts for videos that already have them despite this quote

any new hand-crafted scripts get lost in the blizzard of AI crap.

That’s an absolutely false logic

Lies, all lies. You keep posting scripts for scenes with pre-existing hand-coded realcumber scripts for 60-70% the price. Enshittify all the things I guess.

My take here is that whenever the scene is already manually scripted it shouldn’t have AI script too. If the scene gets a manual script when it already have AI script, the AI script should also be taken down asap.

I hope it’s mistake in the process, but why would you create competition for your scripters? People might stop buying scripts if they see the AI offer subpar quality compared to what they could get earlier. New subscribers can think the AI scripts are best you have to offer. Is it really worth the risk of destroying the manual script market on SLR?

Everyone is freaking out and not looking at things from the larger perspective. Scroll through this thread. I found the name of 2 manual scripters. Their AI is doing 800 scripts a day. That would take a manual scripter a year, and they would be burned out and quit long before then, which is a shame because they need to put in another 35+ YEARS to script the remaining 28,245 videos, let alone the new ones constantly getting made. Everyone is complaining about SLR destroying the manual scripter market, but the truth is it doesn’t really exist. It’s a miniscule market that only exists for the real enthusiasts and is barely putting a dent in their catalog. And even if they were to kill what little of a market there is on their site, there are still other platforms available to support manual creators like patreon.

AI can complete their catalog in 35 days. It never gets tired or burned out, in fact just the opposite, it gets better and faster over time. It never needs to take a break or retire. And it won’t cost them $14,522,500 to script their 29,045 videos at $500 a piece. And best of all it gives some users a script, even if it is janky, for their favorite scenes that might not be on the docket for a manual scripter to get to for years, if at all.

There’s no competition for script creators as AI scripts are not participating in Script Premium distribution.

Craft script is going to be always default. Users should have an option to switch to AI because it’s a different thing.

Actually we had to stop for a few days as machines got out of service because of algorithm v balancer bug.

Otherwise we are doing best to foster manual scripting economy. AI is there to help where a human is lacked.

There truth is there are too few high quality script creators for ever expanding video market.

Starting AI scripting 2D flat videos soon

To be honest that to me sounds like a bit of a misguided view.

Yes it probably is a smaller market, yes it probably is more expensive to have the manual scripters make them (if it was such a niche market the AI probably also wouldn’t make sense, that is a lot of effort to get right).

However that doesn’t alleviate the fact at the current stage/moment the AI scripts are just not up to par with the ones that come from the manual scripters. And thus I agree with Husky that it makes no sense to have both AI and manual scripters on the same videos.

The bigger issue there is that currently it is impossible to even find the new manual scripted videos which makes it look like they try to kill that market (even though they might not want to do this). In my view if this issue is resolved then I see no issue on having AI scripts since I also recognise that it is not conceivable to have every video scripted manually.

So the issue is not that people think that every script must be manually made, its just looking like they try to remove manual scripters by not allowing to “filter on new manual made scripts” which currently is only more of an issue due to the massive influx of AI scripts

But then there is still the issue stated above by me,

Currently there is no way to view the latest craft scripts, I am one of the people that at the current state only consume the craft scripts and at the moment I cannot see when I sort on new which ones are “new” AI or craft scripts.

Before the issue obfuscated due to the small amount of AI scripts released but now it’s just impossible for me.

It’s being fixed. Just to many things to handle atm

The problem is (and I know this might be blasphemous) but there are a lot of scripted vids on SLR where I like the AI script MORE then the hand crafted one.

Yes they are less detailed, but they are also MORE intense. I think its because the AI interpret the strokes as far longer/harder the what they are. So I don’t want the AI scripts to go away (especially since as the tech gets better so will the AI quality)

I honestly don’t understand why people are so worked up about the AI scripts. There are Vids that I used that would have NEVER been scripted if it wasn’t for the AI. I understand that it makes it harder for the scripters, but if people are this passionate about keeping the hand-crafted script market alive then there will still be a demand for H.C scripts.

Lastly, its a give and take. Yes it might hurt the Scripters and their ability’s to make an extra buck, but it benefits the average VR consumer, SLR as a site, the Handy/sex toy community and the entirety of the VR porn industry.

Just my humble opinion.

That’s the same way i feel, the AI scripts are using much better stroke lengths than the human scripters right now. I care about realism as far as timing goes with scripts, but if a dude with a 9 incher isn’t using all of his dick i don’t want a human scripter to use short strokes to keep it “Realistic” if that also makes it not feel as good.

The AI scripts are simply doing stroke lengths better than humans right now and i like having the option to use them if the human scripter dropped the ball on a particular scene.

Or you could just change a already exisiting script with one click if you prefer the full strokes or longer ones. Pretty easy with the tools we have on here. Just as a reminder for scripts on here that are not on SLR, cause SLR misses lots of great content.

So much they could do but probably won’t do. Tech culture sucks.

is there any way to filter out the ai scripts on SLR? I much prefer the user made scripts over the AI scripts but can be difficult to find them.

I’m kind of pro AI scripts. While all the ‘big’ releases always get hand scripted, when it comes down to smaller channels or more niche content it’s much less consistant with stuff only getting scripted if it’s something a scripter is personally interested in. There are hundreds of scenes that would never get manually scripted and I’d take a lower quality AI script over no script.

No way to filter that I know of, but you can tell from the little blue interactive icon, the AI ones say AI.

I’ll probably rehash a lot of the points that have already been covered but, for me, it’s great that SLR is doing this experimentation. I call it that because the scripts are definitely not as good as hand-crafted scripts (and probably never will be) and would not be accepted if they were made by a scripter.

I don’t think anyone is against this and, if someone is, well, tough luck because it’s
inevitable that AI will be used more and more in the future.

What’s bugging me though is that the UI is not treating it as an experimentation.
I’m trying to give SLR the benefit of the doubt that, when they added AI scripts, they didn’t see the impact it would have for hand-crafting scripts (sorting, etc) or the way some of their choices would be perceived.

It’s baffling to me that there is a button to “only show AI scripts” (that, essentially, hides hand-crafted scripts) but there is no way to “only show hand-crafted scripts” (i.e. opt out of the experimentation).

It doesn’t seem aligned with what SLR is saying (“We know that hand-crafted scripts are better than AI scripts”).

Suggestions (most have already been suggested):

  • Add a “Hide AI scripts” option as soon as possible.
  • Don’t add AI script for scenes that already have a hand-crafted script and remove AI script when a hand-crafted is made.
  • Add a user setting with 3 choices:
    • I want to see all AI scripts.
    • I want to see AI scripts only if they use an algorithm version greater than 1.0.5 (selectable).
This would be a good way for users to be able to re-evaluate the state of the AI scripts when SLR is improving it.
    • I never want to see AI scripts.

As for the people that prefer AI script for some parts of the script. I don’t think it’s a goal for AI scripts to be more intense. In theory, AI scripts should get closer and closer to the hand-crafted scripts over time so it’s not really a long-term solution.

IMO, this is something that should be handled by the script player or the script provider (i.e. SLR server that sends the script to the player) that should dynamically adjust the script for the specific device (min/max speed, etc) and user preference (intensity, ideally, with different settings for blowjobs, cowgirl, etc) but we don’t have all those options yet.

One thing I will say about SLR is that they are one of the few studios willing to experiment.

Not everything they try will be a success and not everything that does succeed will be for everyone.

Off the top of my head they are one of the only studios that has tried the following

Passthrough VR
Choose your own adventure
PMV’s
11 ways.
Making JAV VR porn with western actresses.

Most studios have a formula and stick to it and I love some of those formulas. The other thing is that SLR do at least ask for feedback. They may not decide to do what you suggest but at least you know you are being heard. So in conclusion I would say keep up the feedback and if you dont like something say why. The discussion if done respectfully only helps us all.

Basically, your argument is, “Why should we worry about killing the market for quality crafted goods and food when Walmart and McDonalds can crank shit out faster and cheaper? My needs are met faster, so no one should care.”

Because some of us don’t want to live in the cheapest and shittiest of all possible worlds, maybe?
