As title says i solace pro got issues so i need a replacement if there isn’t a work around but lets begins with the issue.
The solace pro works decrepit with funscript it doesn’t use its full ability and it only stay with small movements in a fixed location, so i decided to test it with more official supported stuff and noticed that the ai used is kinda ass, and when connecting with supported games it seems to function more as a patter device it works for the most part but seems very patterned there is also a delay.
And because i have a quest 3 (the cheaper one) i naturally want the VR experience but solace pro is not good for it so i want something that’s actually good for it and like some advice and i prefer it with some kinda of clamp or stand that allows flexibility it can be sold separately naturally, preferred a quieter thing or on the same noise level as solace/pro.
I found the craftyhandy site in generals and i dunno but if there products are something people would recommend.
EDIT: if you don’t exactly know then use something you can reference like a PlayStation booting up or something like that or the solace/pro them selves.
EDIT 2: using a app i checked the solace pro noise it goes up to 92 dB up close (noise dissipate the further you are from it)
Most of the community never recommends Lovense strokers cause of various issues with devices and the company itself. I’m not sure there’d be many people who would have the knowhow on the solace since it has low adoption rates.
TheHandy: Cheapest, requires handsfree setup, don’t buy the one from the website. Relatively quiet
Kiiroo Keon: Sturdy, wireless(so you can use it in bed), has handsfree setups, can be held or propped against something. Least accurate/fast of the suggested devices. Relatively quiet
OSR2+ : Multiaxis with tilts(roll/pitch), needs handsfree setup(deskmounts), More expensive than the previous options, Louder than the previous options, Option for twist axis, Can get quieter servos(more expensive) but will still be noticeable noise wise
SR6: Multiaxis with tilt(roll/pitch) and position(surge/sway), requires handsfree(deskmounted), The MOST expensive out of the suggested devices. Option for twist. Noise issue the same as the OSR where you can get quieter servos but its still louder than the single-axis strokers usually.
Funscripts run fine on the Solace pro, just make sure that you are using a updated version of Intiface as it lacked compatibility upon launch. Having that said, the stroke length and max speed/torque are underwhelming so you will likely be looking for a upgrade pretty soon.
Personally i would recommend the FunOSR1 2.0
Its much more silent, has a greater stroke length and it has much more torque, being able to lift Ona’s of 1KG. You will want a onahole to go with it. ideally with 9CM widh like the Magic eyes extra virgin.
If you buy one, you can save a bit of money by ommitting their desk stand and instead buying a much stronger Stanley Vice seperately. (this device really needs that stability)
This thread probably has the answer. The noise ‘depends’ cause not every osr2 or sr6 is the same. Its not a standardized commercial product so people use different parts and printers to make it.
there where some good examples from there and i learned that i can swap the servos, while im not sure how easy it is the fact that its possible allows me to find a quiter servo if there are any, thank you for the info
Their hands-free setup. Multiple people have complained about it being flimsy and it breaking since the part holding the handy is a cheap plastic cup that isn’t particularly durable.
