SR6 Will no longer connect to wifi

I recently bought an SR6 prebuilt from your hobbies customized and after flashing the esp32 with the khrull tcode and going through all the setup I got it to connect to the wifi just fine the first time. The next time I attempted to use it it connected to the wifi again and worked for about 2 minutes before disconnecting and I haven’t been able to get it to reconnect since. When I power it on sometimes it will connect after a few minutes but the tcode.local webpage loads extremely slowly and after a minute or 2 it will disconnect again. The esp32 appears to be working because upon plugging it in the sr6 homes. Things I’ve tried:

  1. Reflashing the esp32 and redoing the setup
  2. trying several different power sources for the esp32 board

Any help is appreciated.

Edit because I forgot to mention it connects to the wifi just fine when connected directly to my pc.

I have no experience with such a setup, but your last comment makes me wonder how you’re powering the whole thing when not connecting to your PC. It’s normal to power the servos separately aside from any wireless considerations, but what about the ESP32 itself? Where does that get power from when you’re not plugging the USB into your computer?

I power the esp32 board with a 5v phone charger when not connected directly to my pc. It connects right away but then immediately disconnects from the wifi so I’m wondering if it needs more power?
