The heating is always on. It is a case that is double walled and has heating elements inside of it. When it reaches body temp it turns off until it drops below body temp so there is no risk of damage to self or sleeves.

Edit: I should take this time to provide a few updates. I am currently within a week of orders and this trend should continue. I aim to be shipping orders within 2-3 days of purchase. Now that I am about caught up to the front of the queue I will be making some changes to the website. It has been in need of streamlining for some time now. I am excited to announce a new model in the SR series. The OSR2 and SR6 will be able to be purchased with the ability to connect to Wi-Fi. When the changes to the website are complete you will be able select your desired configuration.
Will the SSR1 be returning?
Not at this time. I am also working on fitting in the time to assemble a SSR1, one with the twist feature. When I have done so I will likely be adding it to the shop.
