Not sure if this is explained somewhere already, but is there a way to adjust the speed of the scripts for animated battles in Succubus Academia?

Changing “combatMinSpeed” and “combatMaxSpeed” in script-config.json seems to only affect non-animated battles.

Not really, the scripts are fixed. Speeding them up would just make it go out of sync with the animations.

I guess what you’re really looking for are scripts with longer strokes. You can try some of the user-submitted scripts listed at the bottom of the Succubus Academia entry in the main post.

Succubus Stronghold Seduction looks really good, looks like some effort went into the game, could be a cool game if we get a full game support

Can I share an idea? There are a ton of game requests constantly, and I think for a lot of people (or at least for me) the difficulty in scripting games comes from the actual integrating portion of the process… Like, getting the game to correctly send inputs to something like EDI. There are far less people capable of doing that portion of the process compared to the amount of people capable of making funscripts in general.

So my idea is if you were to focus solely on the integration aspect (since you have a special talent for it), you could try to put it upon the community to make the actual funscripts for your integrations.

I dunno if it would help you out with the process much but if it did speed things up for you, maybe rather than releasing demos for games, you could integrate the full version of a game, and just put in placeholder scripts that don’t actually do anything for each enemy (or whatever else depending on how the game works) for the community to make. Ppl could share the scripts in this thread and it could get added to the main post later (I would be willing to try my hand at it if given a game). I guess this all depends on if the amount of time spent on making scripts for a game is notable, but maybe it’s an idea to consider if it does take up a lot of time for you

I like this idea and it’s one I’ve thought about implementing, But I figured people would want to see if a game has potential, beyond just looking at some screenshots or videos of gameplay.

This is why I went the demo route which would take care of that, and prove to myself that the game is actually feasible. I didn’t want to mod a game, hand it over, and then realise, when someone starts scripting, that my logic actually fails or doesn’t keep the scripts in sync with the animations. It’s happened before, unfortunately. I think I’ve done more harm than good in these cases as I can’t imagine some of these scripters would want to work with me again :sweat:

A demo usually takes me around a week to complete, depending on its engine. WolfRPG games usually take quite a bit longer unfortunately. Just by the nature of how its scripting works. As it stands now, the mods for demos should work for the full games as well. The only exception so far is WolfRPG games.

I usually hold a poll after 3-4 demos to do a full integration for one of them. But as explained in the Demo section in the main post, I welcome anyone to come forward who wants to complete the scripts for a full game.

Thinking about your suggestion for the placeholder scripts, I realise I can adjust my demo approach to encompass your idea. I’ll try this approach with my next demo mod

  • I’ll make the demo mod as usual and also ensure it works for the full game.
  • I’ll script for the gameplay that’s available in the demo, same as before, and also create placeholder scripts for everything else in the full game.
  • I’ll post the recorded gameplay for everything, including the scripts, alongside the demo.

I hope this approach might encourage more to want to continue the scripts where I left off. Or even redo mine, I don’t mind :smile:

An approach for getting scripts from others could be to make a script request post, while attatching either a save with full gallary, or a video of the gallary?
This thread has over 700 messages at this point and the main post has a lot of text that many probably won’t read.

If Scripters complete these requests, you could maybe ask if they are willing to continue scripting for games in the future.

The link might not be reachable due to location filtering enforced by DLsite. Others theorize this is due to pressure from the likes of MasterCard and Visa. Games with certain tags are only viewable in Japan. At least until the devs make the necessary updates.

You might need to make use of a VPN to access these blocked games.

@99DM is making the scripts for CoT. I don’t know how much longer it can take as I’ll have to go over the scripts once I receive them to make sure they align with the game. And I’ll maybe add some multi-axis to them.

While I’m waiting on the scripts, I’ll look at other things - like the mod for Summer that I shared earlier.

I’m currently going over the older demos and getting recordings for a potential full game mod. I want to try an approach as suggested by @lemonlord124 and @nudem. Maybe create a script request post to see if anyone would be interested in completing the scripts. First up will probably be Pleasure of Depravity.

I wanted to go from oldest to newest, but I want to remake my Succubus Prison mod to make use of Edi first. I’ll get to that once the Edi changes it requires are released.

Scripts are included for both the main game and the DLC. The mod should work on both.

I love that 99DM is working on the scripts, imo best game scripter! Don’t rush CoT, I think I speak for all of us when I say this integration cannot be rushed. From what I can tell there is lots of community love for this game and to botch it for some impatient people would be a travesty.

Question regarding summer life in the country side. When trying to open the game i get a message saying downloading unity base libraries. I can load the game without the files added. I have narrowed it down to the doorstop_config file that makes it unplayable for me. I had the same problem for House of lust and couldn’t figure it out.

I tried the Steam and DLsite version of Summer ~Life in the Countryside~

Maybe I did something off but…
Though the mod was integrated the same exact way for both, Steam gave me: 7 days, no scenes, less areas to explore, no intimacy bar, few shop items, and was just broken overall (missing buttons, repeating scenarios that lead to nothing etc.)

DLsite version + mod works flawlessly (I used Express VPN’s free trial to connect to Japan) Huuuge difference: 30 days, places i couldn’t go in the steam attempt, instant scenes n whathaveyou

yeah I can confirm. The steam version is too buggy(old and new one). Its allways a black background and on the right side, there is a X button.

@Fugue Problem solved. You need to change your windows display language to japanese

I think removing doorstop will just make it so that BepInEx doesn’t launch.
Is BepInEx trying to download the libraries and then failing? Can you share the error message?

Maybe antivirus or firewall is blocking the downloads?

You can also try with/without VPN.

Steam games usually launch without the explicit stuff and you’ll need an external patch to add them in. I found this post by Dieselmine where they share a link: https://x.com/DieselmineL/status/1742002772982042945

I am able to access the hyper link without needing a VPN. I turned off my firewall and antivirus just in case.
