This game mod relies CubiLink v3, but still needs the following two tools for it to work:
A novel log extractor: that forces unity console to show the novel log that won’t be seen.
CubiLink Funscript Fix: fixed the part that after playing the funscripts (novel), that funscript will keep playing even though player has entered another scene, such as a parameter scene (live2d scenes). This tool ensures the switching from funscript mode to parameter mode.
I’m reading over this 3-4 times looking for the mod download link, when I notice that it’s a paid script. I saw “This is a paid game integration mod” and my mind just jumped over it because of the name of the game, lol.
That’s because since game modding for toys began like 5 years ago, nobody has charged $ for anything. This truly is a sad day for the community.
Pleas nobody purchase this. We should not enable this kind of work.
I also find it Hilariously hypocritical that OP posts an f95zone link, which hosts the game for free, taking money away from the original creator, but then wants to charge people $ to use the game mod. Thats messed.
Just taking a quick glance, all your stuff is paywalled. I have no frame of reference for how good you are as a scripter. Why would I pay for this? There’s nothing showing how excellent the script is. Also the first time ever seeing a game integration mod being paywalled. Hopefully this doesn’t become a trend.
I can’t confirm what this integration is using, since the content is paywalled and there isn’t a preview of the actual setup/mod shown.
But as Falafel already mentioned, if this is based on an existing free community tool like CubiLink, please clarify that and give appropriate credit.
I don’t mind people sharing or even selling their own CubiLink-based templates/integration setups, but I do think there should be transparency about what is being used.
It’s my second or third time seeing a game integration mod paywalled.
That said, people don’t really raise much of a fuss about paywalled video scripts. If it’s OK for some creators to script videos and then paywall them, why not game mod creators, considering there’s often a lot more scripting work involved in game mods?
That said, I would prefer if paywalled game mods did go public eventually. Say about 6 months after release? (I’ll admit this is because I’m too poor to pay for them normally, lol)
I’ve updated the original post to ensure proper credit is given, and I have added a preview so everyone can see the quality of the work beforehand. I have also removed the game download links to keep everything aligned with community standards.
To address some of the points raised regarding the pricing: (Not to mention who) I noticed some posts also include full game download links, as well as mods that require a paid version of a MFP and only one game is playable. So my thought process was that a single pass unlocking all games (at least 3 so far) offered fair value given the scope. Plus, I plan to continuously update them whenever there is room for improvement and listen to everyone’s feedback.
As a user of this community myself, I completely understand the concern. Honestly, I love and enjoy free stuff too..
However, as a scripter, your support is truly what allows me to dedicate the massive amount of time required to chase 100% perfection in every scene and movement, rather than stopping at an “80% good enough” job.
I really appreciate everyone’s feedback and your understanding !
The required version of MFP actually finally got publicly released (even if it took over a year…) a month or three ago, so that game mod is no longer paywalled.
…sadly, I was unable to get MFP working with the Handy… It’s needlessly complex and convoluted to setup.
