It’s not the clean and perfect setup you might be looking for, but I bought the handy mount accessory to at least get started, and then i bought a wooden tri leg stool, something like this Any self-assembly stool. The idea is to only screw on one leg, or break two off. Then you can slide the seat portion under your legs, and the handy mechanism will tighten to the sole leg on the stool.
I keep a spare pillowcase wrapped around the one legged stool and use the vice to keep it secured and from falling off. (It can be kind of cold to touch on the wood at times, so the pillowcase helps).
The smoother edges the stool has, obviously, the less irritation on the bottoms of your legs
Here is a pic of what I actually have,
Generally, I keep everything attached, and just pick up and shove under my bed when I’m not using it. Someone suggested using an actual black and decker arm mount or something, but I mean it’s harder to keep something like that inconspicuous.
Ultimately it works for me as a single man who can shove it under his bed or closet when company comes over, but I’m still looking for more discretion and ease of access. One way day we’ll all get there, haha.
Edit: lemme add: the handy attachment, mainly the arm bar has started dulling the threads of the vicegrip that holds onto the chair leg. its really only a matter of time before I have to buy some kind of vice replacement because the arm bar wore down the threads. My advice is to buy the cup attachment that you need to hold the handy, but then buy any arm bar you can that can attach to the vice that is of quality. Otherwise, after a little bit of shaking around of normal use, you’ll feel the knobs of the arm bar that tighten to the vice start to loosen, and then you’ll simply tighten them again and again until the threads in the vice are dulled.
Erofam, let me know if we have a better way. This is just what I do.
Edit: but the nuts are crazy doe
