There really is a dream vr girlfriend setup waiting for the tech to put together a culmination of AI chatbot, text to speech, handly, vr + passthrough experience, the pieces are here, but the jank is high and the work done will always be hobbyist and will be slow to advance. Right now it is very hard to compete with the speed of a handy hands free setup + vr in terms of getting set up, having a huge choice (with a big library of videos) and quick teardown and cleanup, so makes it more practical.

Personally I think Vam2 is already too late to the game. Once it finally drops there is a good chance it will be competing with AI adult content, and it’s going to loose. I think it’s safe to say that simplicity it what most consumers want. Easy setup, easy connect, easy teardown. Vam doesn’t really offer any of that. But the handy + scripts does. Once that bridge is gapped it’s over for both parties.

I also recall Vam somewhat working with the handy. I know cuddle mocap implemented an animation controller into his scenes to drive the handy. For the most part it worked but it was still off a little bit. And I think it was Yoooi, who created a plugin called bus driver. This plug-in would would take a script and turn it into vam motions. I don’t think I ever got it to work quite right.

As for VR pass-through porn, idk what those guys are thinking. Screw being innovative or pushing the boundaries of adult content, let’s just do the same old recycled scenes over and over again. I created a very simple Vam scene. No toy required. Just a girl with her tongue out waiting for your load, and a passthrough of your cock. This could easily be made into a traditional live VR scene, but I have yet to see it happen.

Personally I don’t think VaM2 is even supposed to exist… It’s using the Star Citizen method, keep stringing people along who will happily keep sending money via Patreon. From memory the subscriber count is fairly high.

I like VR, but the amount of hardware setup is annoying. I tried VAM a few times but it was too buggy and too much hassle. Would be nice to get something similar, but “reaty to go” without so much work.

Totally! I’m surprised no one has come up with something like Vam but more simplified.

There is Captain Hardcore VR game on steam, but I only tried the demo few months ago when there was still not much content in the game.

I’ve heard of that along with Slaves of rome. They seem interesting but I do believe they don’t offer passthrough, which is what I’m all about.
