As far as I know, XTPlayer doesn’t seem to have this function. You should try MultiFunPlayer
Please try to connect XTPlayer via DeoVR in Steam VR. However, I haven’t tried this method yet. If you use DeoVR on the PC side, I estimate that the IP address will be 127.0.0.1.
Would i still use the browser thingy for DeoVR? Cause im trying the links you have, but i cant find the page in the DeoVR webbrowser
Ahhh nvm, i think i got it to work
Thank you for this. As a Mac user, I have found integrating VR (Oculus 2) with the OSR2 (No Bluetooth) VERY difficult and frustrating. I even bought a miniPC so I could just finally bypass the hurdle of my mac, only to then realize that the GPU on miniPCs are way too light to allow for Quest link. I had XTP running fine, but couldn’t get it to sync with the the Oculus web browser or DeoVR.
I followed these instructions, and successfully paired the DeoVR to the Heresphere settings in XTPlayer’s on my mac, under the connections tab. That gave me a green check mark. i also had a green check mark for the USB port connection setting. I was again frustrated when (even with the two green check marks) I couldn’t get the OSR to move with the XTPWeb through the DeoVR. The OSR moved if I played a video in the XTPlayer on my Mac, but not if I pushed play on the XTPWeb interface.
I did go and adjust the settings in XTPWeb under the controller tab so that it selected DeoVR/Heresphere, and that connections tab interface (via XTPWeb settings through DeoVR) showed a green check mark…still nothing.
Here’s what seemed to work for me - and I post this in case anyone else ran into this problem. On the connections tab described under “Play VR video and scripts in DeoVR”, instead of selecting "DeoVR/Heresphere, I selected XTPWeb. As soon as I did that, whirrr…the OSR started a-movin’. Terrific.
I still can’t figure out how to get this to possibly work where I can get DeoVR to control the OSR if I am watching SLR subscription videos with scripts…and I have read a bunch of appraoches attempted by Mac users…but I am still unable to make that work…and I’d prefer not to drop $500+ to get a PC that just barely meets the requirements set by Meta for the Quest.
Anyway, hope that “XTPWeb” option, instead of DeoVR/Heresphere in the “Connections” tab is a difference-maker fo you a well.
Since I had the FunSR1 last summer, tried to make Bluetooth connection working with no result. Abandonned the idea. Today found “par hasard” this topic with the miracle, solution. Working great now with Bluetooth. Gracias.
We’ll be able now to use FunSR1 conformtably in Bed with the IPad
thx for the big work
sadly I cant get it to work so perhaps I misunderstood something
my setup are Windows 11 and HereSphere on quest 3
I have put my quest ip in XTPlayer Connection tab and chose HereSphere under input connection
but it cant get it green only yellow what do I miss ?
if I go to the webserver off XTPlayer I can play the video but it will only be like two SBS videos
hope I explain it good enough
also the OSR2+ are connected to the computer with usb
If there is a problem with HereSphere, please try DeoVR. I have provided the APK file of DeoVR. Theoretically, after clicking to play a VR video, the video stream should be played by the built - in players of DeoVR or HereSphere.
the web browser seems to randomly be unable to connect, and then it’ll be responsive again and every time I restart XTPlayer it’ll have the same issue again. any idea why this may be happening?
Check your LAN connection. If you have turned on the VPN on your PC or Mac, please cancel the system proxy. Generally, the local area network is very fast.
After years of using just my Handy the time has come to print/build my very own OSR2+.
My printer is doing overtime right now and my friends at AliExpress are getting the required parts.
I came across your XTPlayer and had a question, i noticed you integrated the use of “tags”, is it possible to make custom tags in order to quickly find certain video’s? I tried searching for it but couldn’t find it.
This software does not seem to support the reading of subtitles, which is a big disadvantage
XTP have veru usefull settings in video playback that can change overall range of axis on-fly
It’s not affecting main settings, and only temporarily, and only for current video playback.
Close it - and this limits go back to 100% of main settings range
So…how do you access that quick settings from DeoVR while whatching VR videos? Is this possible by any chance?
Thanks for the guide! Is the “stroke range change step” setting used for anything? Decreasing the value feels like it’s increasing the resolution of the movement but I’m not too sure if that’s necessarily the case.
Please read this section carefully. You cannot set the output limit in real time when using VR, but you can switch between different profiles.
Well, that’s sad(
Cause this means almost +1 extra profile per VR video
You can set up 5 profiles such as 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, and 100%. Generally, this can adapt to all scriptwriters, instead of setting up a profile for each VR video.
In terms of the text, it does express this meaning. Generally, there is no need to change this value. The accuracy of the script is usually determined by the script itself. Additionally, MFP has a spline interpolation function, which can make the script more smooth.
