Hello everybody!
We want to give you a forecast for what will happen in terms of events for the year 2025, but also look back at 2024.
2024 was a great year for events. We not only re-build the entire system, we made them regularly. We hold 4 events, in total 150! scripts were submitted for all events together. That is an amazing number. Many new people started scripting because of the events. That is one of our main goals here - getting new people into scripting. A big advantage of ours events is, that everybody can get feedback on their scripts. I write a short review of every script. You can then dm me, get your score and my feedback.
There was also a huge leap in the quality of the scripts. They got better every event. That was clear to see in our “Blast from the Past” event, where we had too many first, second and third places and we had to make a tie and rate new. That lead to a small rework of our scoring system, going away from the standard 1 - 5 and adding 0.5 to the score - so 1.5, 2,5 etc.
Speaking of the “Blast from the Past” event. That was a phenomenal event! Many good ol’ movies where shared, we saw upscales that made the old movies shine in new light, some funny stories where shared and a lot of great scripts. We want to bring this kind of uniqueness into 2025.
We’ve been working on a lot of different ideas for 2025 with lots of ideas for new and unique events. So many in fact that we really wish it was possible to try them all in the next twelve months. We regret that we can realistically only do 4 or 5 events a year, because with each event, we learn a little more about how to improve. We’ve learned a lot during our inaugural year of hosting events, and we’re proud of what we’ve all accomplished including, not just us the event planners, but all of the participants and the community as a whole. We’re confident that this new year is going to be even better, and a lot of fun for all of us.
While we are still busy rating the scripts from the “The End is Nigh” event, we also started planning for the next event. More on that soon-ish

Thank you to everybody who participated in these events, who commented, gave feedback to us and the scripters, to everybody who contributed to the prizes, to the admin and mod team allowing our event threads to be pinned, to my whole team for rating the scripts and organizing the events.
We sincerely hope you enjoyed the events of 2024 - lets look ahead to 2025 - things will get interesting.
