Hey guy’s! I’m putting together a library of HMV’s and PMV’s that I’m converting to 3D and upscaled if not 4K already or 60 FPS.
Edit (06DEC24): All work on this and the content made was lost. Currently looking into a way to recreate and recover. I’ve learned a lot and improved quality by a significant margin since 2021. I suppose it’ll be good to have a fresh start with the best quality.
Edit (08DEC24): I’ve figured out how to make the program’s I used on Windows with my Steam Deck using Steam’s Proton compatibility tool. I’ll be posting instructions on how to use those tool’s in the near future on a different post that will be linked here. I’ll also be posting examples of it’s work on this page. Once I got all that sorted out over the next couple days, I’ll be making a post about how which script players can be made to work with Linux using Proton as well.
I failed to mention in my last update that because I don’t have those other PC’s anymore that I’m using a Steam Deck as my main PC now. But now that I’ve figured things out with compatibility, that won’t be an issue. You’re gonna see some quality work from a hand held gaming device lol.
Thats an awesome Collection and the 3D stuff works also well on the Deo VR Video Player for me. That plays Scripts and can synch to the Handy as well.
Like the idea of 3D HMVs and would love to have all of the HMVs to the Scripts you got in the collection in 3D and Scripts for the ones that have none if someone would be up for the task.
Sadly i dont know any other reliable way of file sharing for the othter Content.
A Community Mega would be cool but i have no idea if this could work etc.
Thanks for advice but I took another aproach to this issue. I started making my own in 32:9 aspect ratio, so the image is as close to original as possible.

It’s quite tricky to setup, but once you have it all set up its quite easy. Only difference that I make is in Handbrake. Here I have custom preset that easily allows me, not to worry about resolution and framerate.
Right now I’m also rendering Abzero, so you can check it out in about an hour.
Edit: Nevermind I set something wrong and the rendered file is now 22GBs. Gotta do it again.
Guys when I convert most of these I do it so it squeezes the video to half width. Would these be better at full width? I can very easily re convert these.
You are right it does look better in Whirligig, but some people would not want to buy it. About the width, I like when I dont have to do any unnecessary work, when watching the videos, so I convert them to full size (also the quality will be better). Also I found this forum post, where there is ton of mega links with videos you have already converted. You might want to check it out.
Additionally the benefit of half width vs full size is how wide that makes the video. With the video fully zoomed out in full size you can’t see the whole video at once. Like half the video is already in the corner of your eye.
So you’ll have to shrink them down to nearly half size anyway. Regardless you’ll need to mess with some sliders.

Try it on PC with adblocker. I didnt get single popup. They are not converted to 3D, just videos with scripts you might want to convert (I already did some).
Just a heads up to everyone. I deleted all the videos. I’ll be redoing them in full width size and with optimized settings. Once it’s complete I’ll repost them.

how are you doing this ? i’ve quite a fairly large collection of upscaled video now and i would be interested to convert them !
