8K porn via Quest Link / DeoVR

Hey guys, i am using the Quest 2 with usb-C cable via Quest Link and on my pc im running DeoVR with scriptplayer. So when i was trying 8k for the first time (CzechVR) it was running really smooth and quality was great.

Somehow when i play 8K porn from NaughtyAmerica, it starts to lagg really hard. My pc is good enough and i wonder why CzechVr 8k is working and NA is not.

Do you have any tips? 6k NA videos are fine.

What GPU do you have? Does the 8k NA video play well with the quest disconnected?

Quest Link uses the GPU to encode the video stream between your PC and quest2, while your GPU is also busy decoding the video you are watching. My first guess would be that the higher bitrate NA video may be a bit too much for your GPU in combination with the additional processing required to encode the video stream to run quest link.

I got a GTX1070, but it seems that as you say my gpu cannot play the NA videos smoothly. I just tested it in media player and it was also a bit laggy.

Weird that CzechVR works so well… thank you anyway!
