A new idea of hands free Handy mount. Using 3d printer

A new idea of a hands free mount

Many of the mounts for handy including the offical one needs to attach to a desk or somting. So I came up with this new idea. In short words, making a mount like a doll and able to do some pose such as horse-riding or M-letter poses.

The prototype

I designed this prototype with FreeCAD. Calfs, thighs, and A holder for the handy linked together with knees joints and hip joints.

Then I 3d printed it out with Ender3 printer. It means these parts can be print out by a regular size 3d printer.

Although there are still some issue that need to be fix, but it is working.

About the future works

I am glad to fix some known problems of this protype. For example the holder part for the handy was not strong enough that it is spins and shakes while moving. Some poses cannot be done due to the joints limits.

After that, I still have some crazy thought to do in the future such as adding good looking covers, adding body and arms parts. (Already started to learn blender and tried to make somthing)

Or maybe using some link mechanism to move the whole body? Let’s see how far can I go.

Finally
I am working on redesigning this prototype. Once the works done, I am going to put it on my patreon. The prototype will be accesible for free.
At this time, I will not setup a membership until the redesign works done. But if you want to support me in the future, check out my patreon channel here patreon.com/Kuwaka. That will help me a lot with the future works.
