šŸ“£ [Announcement] EroScripts Community Event - March 2025 - Theme Announcement

What a great idea for an event! First, let me thank all of you responsible for making it happen… including all the work that went into that sick intro :slightly_smiling_face:

Multiple times I saw the event announcements in the past but passed because of time constraints. And I’ve gone back and forth on it this time as well. Broken servos don’t make the decision easier either. But you know what? Fuck it, I’m in!

Preference: Definitely live-action

For reference, he already did, 15min per member of time is required per team. And to me, its not an excessive requirement at all.

What i was suggesting is that video length and scripted time dont have to be equal, allowing multi axis scripts to count heavier to the total. Allowing videos to be slightly shorter, if this is compensated by simply having more script.

Lets say we have 4 members, in the current state it means 5 videos (12mins per video on average). To me it would already be fine if it was 10min per video, with 1 being multiaxis. Its still 5 videos in total (clearly a theme). and has 60mins of script in it, even though playback time on those scripts will only be 50mins.

I realy dont want the members + 1 requirement for the number of videos being scripted to change, its essential for the ā€˜theme’ aspect here. 3x5mins while the videos are short, still counts as 3 as far as i can see. So video count can definitely bumped further upward so a team of 4 might get 10 videos. But if they would only make 2 30min videos, thats not worthy of being called a theme.
And on that end, i would even say that just 4 videos of 5mins is also not enough for a theme. 9 videos however does at least define a theme more strictly then.

Most of the requirements are fine, they however punish multi axis for no good reason to me.

Thats fine then.
Anyone into VR scripting? A VR group would be nice, its a category beside anime and live action after all.

Sadly…I can’t participate. I just have way too much going on. Teaching 6 classes, taking a class, working 5 jobs….needing to plan on moving…
I just can’t. :sob:

Thank you for the sign up!

That’s too bad, but of course understandable. Hope to have you in the next event again. Best of luck with all the stuff you got going on :slightly_smiling_face:

Last day for the sign ups!

Tomorrow morning (in around 24 hours from this post), @burtreynolds will post the final team roster in this thread. Once the roster is up, get in touch with your team mates, think of a theme and send a DM to @burtreynolds with the chosen theme. Be aware, it’s first come, first serve. The sooner you get your theme out, the more likely it is you will get that theme and no other team picked the same theme.

Today is the last day to sign up. Have you made your decision?

Thank you very much! :slightly_smiling_face:

I hope you’ll reconsider. As @Slibowitz and @NumeroUno have already stated, there are numerous tools out there for translation, and you’re contributions in previous events have certainly been fun. Any team would be lucky to have you.

I just want to point out that the requirement is 15 minutes of scripted action per team member, but not every member of the team has to script 15 minutes. Some can do more, and some can do less. The important thing is that, by the end of the event, the team fulfills the total requirement. For a two person team that will be 30 minutes. For a 3 person team that will be 45 minutes.

Thanks for the support! :slightly_smiling_face: I also thought the trailer that @Slibowitz made was excellent.

I love the enthusiasm! I’m looking forward to seeing what you have to share with us.

It certainly sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now, and we’re all wishing you the very best. We will miss your contributions, but hopefully we will see you in the next event.

You’re free to script VR regardless of which team you’re placed on.

Nobody’s punishing anything here. We’re doing our best to design and run events that are fun, accessible, and free to every member of EroScripts. Anyone who participates in our events are more than welcome to submit multi-axis scripts, and we’re always happy to see them.

Thank you for the invitation.
I would also like to thank @Slibowitz and @NumeroUno for their advice.
As everyone has said, I think it would be possible to communicate using various tools, but above all, work has been so tough this March…
If there is another event when I have time, I would definitely like to participate.
I wish you all the best.

SIGN UPS ARE NOW CLOSED AND THE POST HAS BEEN UPDATED WITH THE TEAM ROSTER!

For everyone who has signed up, please get together with your team and spend the next week discussing your theme. Once you’ve chosen your theme and team name, elect a team captain to DM me with that information.

 Please don’t publicly reveal your theme, or post any event submissions, until we officially announce the start of the event. There will be a separate official start of the event post a week from now so please DM me with this information by the end of Friday.

Thank you to everyone who has signed up! We’re looking forward to having a fun event with you guys!

Thank you for the list.
So, If I understand correctly : Team 1, two members, 3 scripts for a total of 30 minutes, right?
Beginning discussions with my new partner

Yep, that is correct.

You’re free to go above and beyond those requirements, but that is the bare minimum. All of the team’s scripts will be averaged together for a final team score. Additionally, the lowest scoring script will be dropped from the team’s average.

DVD with different scenes and actors counts as single scripts?

Yes. You can cut each scene out to make them as individual videos. Then they would count as individual videos and also as individual scripts.

OK you want them cut.

My partner and i doesnt need to script the same type of video right? We just need to have the same theme. For example, i do a christmas themed jav and he does christmas themed PMV. also there are two of us so we need to submit 3 scripts, correct?

Burt give us some heads-up how many themes do you have already?

Correct. Let’s say your team choose the theme ā€œChristmasā€. Your videos have to have the theme ā€œChristmasā€ in it somehow. So you choose a general theme and your video choices have to have that in it. How you have that theme in and what videos you both script, is up to you.
And yes, for every 2 member team, 3 scripts need to be submitted.

Currently, we got the team names and themes from two teams.

Are we allowed to include old scripted clips in a new video compilation?
Some of them are useful but I’m assuming there should be a % limit

That’s fine, but only the newly scripted portions will count. Include some information on what parts are new with timestamps, clips, or a list of scenes. You can hide all of that in a spoiler in your post if you don’t want to give too much away before we try it out. Just make it easy for us to know what’s what please.
