I’m trying to optimize my stroking setup (FUNSR1 2.0) for long, controlled edging / gooning sessions (rather than maximum stimulation or cumming quickly). My ideal session involves being able to use slow-to-moderate, long, full strokes for an extended period while staying around 80-95% “point of no return”). I’ve been experimenting with several different sleeves, including the Kenzie Creampuff and Vanna Dopamine Fleshlights and a few NPG onaholes (004, 014), along with different stroke ranges, speeds, sleeve positions, and lubrication approaches.
Mostly I have this dialed in really well, but recently my recurring problem is lubrication longevity. I’ve recently been using K-Lube because it’s economical and initially seemed to have much better staying power than ID Glide. However, it has started drying surprisingly quickly—especially the lube exposed outside the sleeve—and becomes tacky or “grabby.” Not a great feeling when all of the action is happening at the top 50% of my member for a few minutes and then dips down to 0% unexpectedly. During longer sessions, that increasing friction can leave me feeling tender or slightly raw, even when the stimulation itself feels relatively soft and manageable. I had previously used ID Glide but that also seems to dry even faster.
I’ve experimented with different amounts and consistencies of K-Lube, applying it both inside the sleeve and directly to myself, and switching among the Fleshlight and NPG onaholes. The onaholes sometimes seem to retain lubrication better, but I haven’t yet found a reliable process that stays consistently slick throughout a long session. I’m also unsure whether I should periodically add fresh lube, reactivate the existing K-Lube with water, use a different mixing ratio, or simply choose another lubricant for machine use.
Relubing mid-session is probably inevitable, but sort of sucks when you’re 30 minutes into a session and really feeling the groove… having to pause and manage things really breaks the immersive feeling I’m trying to sustain.
For those doing extended sessions with a FUNSR1 or similar stroker, what preparation and maintenance routine works best for you… either before or during a session? I’d especially appreciate specifics about lube type and mixture, how much you apply, whether you rehydrate or reapply during the session, sleeve preparation and venting, and whether certain Fleshlight or onahole textures handle long-duration stroking better than others.
I do two different things, since I can’t be bothered to purchase, create, or setup an automated lubing system. Both involve unscrewing the rear of the toy case and reapplying something during use:
I use a small irrigation bulb (you could also use a plastic syringe or something similar) to drip one or two drops of water into the back end of the sleeve; just enough to reactivate water-based lube.
I just put some lube in the rear end of the sleeve during use. Most lubes will drip down. If you’re willing to waste a bit of lube, this can actually be a pretty awesome sensation. I don’t like getting lube on my hands so this does everything I need.
If you’re using an edging/slow script this is very very doable during the action. I sometimes even leave the rear of my toy off completely. I recommend the irrigation bulb/a syringe because you obviously don’t want to accidentally get water on any of your expensive hardware.
You can get the syringe/bulb at any pharmacy. The bulb I use is from an ear-cleaning kit that cost me about 5 dollars.
EDIT: You could also just fill a syringe with your lube of choice; they make caps for them so you could fill one up, cap it, and just leave it with your toy ready to go.
I use an open-ended sleeve primarily, makes it easier for re-applying lube mid-session without needing to pause.
What I’m curious about is what people actually use for material to have good long sessions, because the bulk of the material I see people posted here are sub 3 minute videos. Surely y’all ain’t looping the same video like 30 times.

The other solutions sound awesome, but one thing I’m trying to fight against is making everything too technical. Not sure if others feel the same, but a huge part of the joy of these devices / funscripts is being able to sit back, relax, and let your porn have sex with you… hands free. My best sessions are those where I can get everything set up and just let myself get lost in the experience. I still haven’t cracked that code entirely… although I feel like I’m making progress towards it.
Something unrelated to lube that I have to also control for is script speed / stroke length. For a session to go long I increasingly have to control these things to prevent flying over the edge rather than running along it. For that I’ve vibe coded some of my own tools to re-interpret funscripts. May post about that again in another thread.
