Hey, apologies if this has already been decisively answered already, but I did a preliminary search and didn’t find the answer I am looking for.
I have a Quest 3 and a Quest 2 before that. I’m super impressed with what DeoVR and SLR have done and I have a lifetime video/scripts membership with them. I’m a huge fan of the simple seamless setup they’ve developed, and I’m happy to see they are very good at listening to their customers and working hard to improve the platform all the time.
That said, I also own memberships to other VR sites: BaDoinkVR, WankzVR, VRBangers, etc. and streaming their content via the Quest is just so clunky and inconvenient—let alone barely, if any, script support. The best case, I think, is to download these massive video files and play them on a video player on my Quest 3 and use downloaded scripts. So, which player is best for this and has the best Handy script support? I don’t care if it isn’t free. Should I just stick with DeoVR?
Personally i use Virtual desktop streamer and have the deo vr app on steam. You can then just stream them using the local access option on DeoVR. Name the script the same as the video put it in the same folder and your rolling.
I’m using Heresphere through steamvr in demo version and so far it’s the best for me. I love how you can do a lot of tweaking to get the best vr experience through the app.
Heresphere is great. I think all the sites you listed (apart from SLR) have intigration with Heresphere but I haven’t tried them. I download scenes and host them on my PC using XBVR.
XBVR+Heresphere works flawlessly, XBVR will send over the matching funscript with the video and heresphere has Handy integration built in. Also means all your content from different sources are all in one place.
I’m using the native Heresphere Quest app, not thje Steam version the other user mentiond.
another +1 for heresphere. make a network share and you’re golden. the interface is a little clunky / overwhelming to get used to but there are so many tweaks and settings its worth it.
