Hi there, I want to save some disk space (thanks to ai hardware crisis) and I am thinking about cutting some parts out of videos that I don’t watch like missionary and doggy parts. Is there a way to cut both a video and a script together or is there already a tool that I missed that I can use for that purpose? Thanks in advance!
Load the script and video in open funscripter.
Under the timeline should be a big gray bar, navigate to the start of the part you want.
Right click create chapter.
Go to the start of the next part. Right click create chapter.
Left click that new chapter. Right click the previous chapter, Set size.
That should make the section you wanted a big colorful block.
Right click the block, export clip.
Sorry, I can’t seem to find the chapter function. I can only find bookmarks and cannot right click below the timeline. I am on OFS v2.0.0. Do I need an extension?
I think this has a link to the one I use. It can take a long time to split the scenes and the merge them back. If you don’t have a ton of ram on your computer you might bluescreen while splitting some of the bigger 8K scenes
Bruh. The current version is at v3.2.0.
This is the tool I use as well. It can be a little hard to use sometimes, so I put together a tutorial for anyone trying to figure it out for the first time.
I had NO IDEA you could trim clips using OFS. Thank you @lamp!! FSMergeSplitter is still useful for stitching clips together, but honestly using OFS for trimming is way better.
Yeah no clue about the merging, but being able to clip parts out of a video is relevant because sometimes you only want to script a specific part of a video(or you only want that specific part of the script). So no reason to have a full video for a short snippet(like you only want 5-10mins out of a 30min video). No need to cut up the video in a separate program.
