Censorship

In light of recent events I wanted to make a statement on the status of Eroscripts and where we stand on the matter.

Censorship as I personally define it:
The intentional pressure to silence expression with the motive of political morals regardless of legality.

For as long as I am in control of the forum, I will resist all attempts to censor
My stance on whether it is acceptable to censor is very simple.
Unless real people are being hurt, you need to mind your business.

This is why deepfakes and some rape content are not allowed. This is why we have some content creators blacklisted. We are not interested in policing what you get off to.

The war on porn:

This is far from a new thing and has existed for a century.
This is a great video summarizing the history of redlining and the war on sex work:

for the ladies in the back:
I will resist all forms of censorship

Good to hear EroScripts will stand against this and resist this censorship nonsense.

Keep in mind: This is just the beginning. They claim to “protect the children from harmful content.” Their true intention is control and censorship. Porn is first, because it’s a relative easy target. Porn is still being something to taboo in society. Nobody will come forward and say “I see no reason to ban porn.” They would make themselves an easy target. But they forget: The lobby is strong and powerful. They won’t get down without a fight. And there are many many smart people on the internet, who will fight back their way – they find ways to bypass their “age verification”.

After their approach to ban porn, what is next? Ban movies / shows, where some fake sex scenes are in? Or too much violence? Maybe something that doesn’t fit their political views? Ban video games for being too violent? Too many too sexy girls? Ban animated art, because too violent, too sexy? The list is endless.

Porn is their new scapegoat for a failing and rotting society. It’s not porn that need to be blamed. It’s failing education systems, failing parenting. Not porn. Back then it was cartoons, rock and metal music, comic books, dungeon and dragons, anime, manga - now it’s porn.

This is war against freedom - freedom of expression, freedom of art, freedom of speech.
My point is clear: I am pro free speech, pro freedom of expression – against any kind of censorship. The government proved they failed - again. They are not there to control our privat life. They should not interfere with our privacy, as long as it’s not against the law. They should provide us a good and livable life. What, where, how, I consume or don’t consume on the internet, is none of their business.

Their approach in controlling the internet will fail. You can’t control the internet. People always found a way and will find a way again.

So glad you picked up on the best video on the subject.

Yeah most of the videos on the subject take a very milk toast take and say shit like “ignore the fact this is porn”

Porn has every right to exist just like violent video games and media that is more mature in nature. This isn’t like hate speech laws allowing unfavorable speech. As much as they’re related, There is nothing wrong with porn

Paid script creators have already been kicked from multiple marketplaces and have to cover up the fact that the are selling funscripts. Now they’ve moved onto more visible targets and people are waking up to this.

I have made multiple attempts to setup a payment processor for making my own patreon clone for adult content.

Even CCBILL which advertises as adult friendly refused to setup a partnership.

Considered using crypto? This is kinda the thing it was made for afaik.

Crypto is 100% something we can use but the accessibility is very low.
Fiat is a requirement if it’s going to be sustainable.

Thanks for this Vlad, appreciate you!

I live in the UK and noticed the changes here already today. So far I’ve noticed we can no longer access Rule34video or Eporner (and I’m sure there are many more and many more to follow). As such, an even more conscious effort to provide links on hosting platforms like Pixeldrain, Gofile and Mega would be very much appreciated. I was relieved to see that for now at least, we still have access here and over on Milovana.

Ofc I’ll be looking into a VPN, although there are rumours the UK government are trying to find ways of getting round that too (likely via crackdowns on VPN companies), but I have no idea how realistic that is.

Unfortunately it doesn’t stop at just porn. It’s also including the censorship of things like Reddit and certain X posts (specifically politically related) but that’s slightly off-topic so I won’t say more about that here, other than that it is all very sinister and Orwellian.

A really dark day for the UK, and presumably other places around Europe from what I’ve been hearing :face_exhaling:

Use Proton VPN thats the best for privacy.

Take a look at these though:

I might consider getting into the VPN space.
Patrons would get a VPN run by us.

We the people honestly just need to make our own payment method similar to pay by mail or something.
Porn companies should be banding together with us to create a new method of payment since they are the ones that are currently at the mercy of the monopoly of control freak weirdo’s. So tired of this divided every man for himself mentality bullshit, are credit card companies divided right now with this ban?
“For the children.”, If people don’t wake up to this bullshit excuse now and open their eyes, that’s gonna be the same reason why going to work only will be their only medium of entertainment in the near future.

Something like an VPS with wireguard (VPN)? Look into Pangolin if thats the case.

If the forum makes more money I can setup Pangolin for circumventing censorship in places like the UK.
I was also considering netbird for this but pangolin looks specifically like an application layer tool, which would be better for this usecase.

Pangolin is likely safer and easier to setup since it has built in crowdsec support.

Of course this is a false excuse. They use children to emotionally manipulating the mass. Same with the privacy for messaging. They argue they need to check private messages from services like WhatsApp and Telegram, to hunt down cp. It’s not about cp, it’s not about children. Surveillance and control is the goal.

Government should stick their ugly nose out of parenting. Parenting is the job of the parents, and if the parents are too stupid to activate kids mode and block certain sites on their kids device, it’s their own failure.

Although I don’t agree with every type of content on this site (neutral stance since I haven’t studied research on the matter) and welcome the latest actions for legality reasons, I welcome your stance and statement on freedom and its limit whereby real people get hurt. Please allow me to make a broader, societal point, not limited to porn. And albeit being long, admittedly not long enough to go into details.

Why these advocacy groups (of which I will not post any links to avoid trace-back) are so successful, is because they are well organized. While the other side sees social stigma* as the main prohibitive factor for people to join in with their names or faces attached to it.

Make no mistake though. While these groups start with legitimate sounding issues, actual illegal practices (like the case of GirlsDoPorn, age restrictions or revenge porn), they argue in bad faith and play hide the ball. And we know what they are gonna do, because they keep telling us out in the open.

Porn is but a small part of it. It is of course also any type of sex work, or actually sexuality itself. But it is way more sinister: Did you know that they describe “transitioning” as inherently pornographic and therefore children should not be able to see anyone doing so? Combine that with executive orders all but outright outlawing trans people out of existence. They will go against anything not fitting into their narrow puritanical white pseudo-christian world view. Step by step. Moving the goal-posts every time.

And they do this by pressuring critical service providers like banks, progressing to different businesses and also by enacting laws to limit them. And then they go on to criminalize the service itself, or some consequence of their pressure so the social costs become unbearable (e.g. getting people de-banked to make an easier argument for homelessness, which can then be criminalized → see the EO from the other day). And they describe this clearly in the over 900-page document that is Agenda 2025 of the Heritage Foundation, that is currently being enacted by the White House, the biggest power center on earth.

This is about way more than porn. And the only way to stop this, is to organize. Organize to pressure companies in the other direction (e.g. the linked campaigns and threaten legal action), by calling out these dishonest groups and their real intentions and not letting them dictate the narrative, by adopting alternative structures (e.g. for payment or communication) and pressuring elected officials and get people elected in order to drive laws back into the direction of freedom and democracy and away from fascism and subjugation. And this does not only apply to the US, but to everywhere, where there still remains a semblance of democracy.

*Pornography is a giant industry, internet traffic is made up by a huge part (30% IIRC) of pornography and in studies numbers vary between 60 to 95% of men and 30 to 90% of women consume porn… and yet, sex work is being frowned upon, sex workers being seen as lesser and no one wants to be associated with any of it. Aren’t we humans such logical beings?

The card companies don’t give a damn about censoring anything. They care about negative publicity from groups of Karens like Collective Shout, who take an extremely anti-porn stance. They are a small group with very loud voices, and they aren’t even the target demographic for video games in general. Steam should make their own payment system but I think realistically they’re afraid to go to war with the major players in the industry.
