Cheap Arm For The Handy 2 ( 5$ )

An Incredibly Solid $5 Arm Mod Solution for The Handy 2

If you are looking for a mount setup for The Handy 2 that is both cheap and highly effective, while also fixing the wobbly issues of traditional arm mounts, here is an extremely sturdy $5 mod that is definitely worth considering:

  • Desk Clamp ($2): A flexible clamp design that expands up to a maximum of 5cm, making it compatible with various desk thicknesses. It features 2 screw holes with a standard 3cm spacing to secure everything firmly.

  • L-Bracket ($2): Uses an L-shaped design (as shown in the picture) to create a rigid frame that holds the device tightly and prevents it from shifting.
    *

  • Screws & Hardware ($1): The remaining budget is more than enough to get all the necessary screws and nuts for the assembly.

Load Capacity & Real-World Performance: Currently, this setup works incredibly well and remains very stable even when handling a 600g Onahole (a quite tight and snug one). However, to ensure durability and avoid any unintended damage, you should only set the tightness to a moderate level. Avoid overly aggressive or “risky” usage that might exceed the load limits of the clamp and metal bracket.

Overall, for just $5, this design is a perfect and simple alternative that almost completely eliminates the annoying wobble you usually get with standard arm mounts.
