Disappointed in J-lube, am I not mixing it correctly?

Since a lot of people here have been hyping up J-Lube, I decided to buy it and test it out myself. I’m not sure if I’m using too much of the J-Lube powder, but it’s way too slippery. There’s no sensation other than it being too slippery, and it doesn’t seem to get tacky like other lubes tho.

I don’t see the issue as PEO-based lube are meant to be extra slippery. You may try using less powder next time.

Also, remember to pop your product in the fridge so it last longer. Next time consider X-Lube or K-lube as an alternative (they don’t contain 75% dispersing agent).

…i find it gets tacky when it dries out, but not to the degree normal lube does. Maybe if you add a drop of glycerin to it, which is one of the ingredients in ‘shop’ lube and which i’m pretty certain, from purely anecdotal personal feelings mind you, is the annoying bit in lube that produces the tacky feeling us powder lube users hate.

A super smooth, soft sleeve would be rendered utterly frictionless by a decent glob of thick powder lube! i hear you. Personally i use a rather hard TPE sleeve, with big lumps in it, so lots of thick slippery lube is essentially.

Kinda discovered K-lube recently, as it was sent to me with a kit. Been a big X-lube fan for ages, but it’s completely pure, so prone to degrade, or potentially ‘go off’. K-lube was supplied as part of the kit specifically because it’s sole extra ingredient is a preservative that prevents degradation, and the kit requires you to mix large volumes, so prevents wastage. Cut to the chase, seems the K-lube is just as good as the X-lube, but half the price, and never goes off. Result.

J-lube is full of weird shit, so i never used it…!
