Try to rollback the update. Then never update when it asks. I also have auto update off. There is a vid on YouTube that shows how to rollback/downgrade updates.
Make sure you enable developer mode at oculus.com.
There’s vids on that too.
So for now at least that’s your work around.
Also you can enable dlna in the settings menu. You have to click it on then it’ll work. I thought it was gone last update too. But it’s there in 11.9
Not helpful in the slightest. And to be clear, I was making that clarification so that anybody trying to help would know that I wasn’t talking about only slr scripts on their site for ease of troubleshooting.
With that being said, if you have nothing helpful to say, it’s best to just keep quiet.
Copy that, when I have some disposable income to speak of then I will. Presently, unfortunately I don’t. Thank you for the offer tho, it’s great that you would be considerate like that. Much appreciated.
Hey, I messaged SLR support and mentioned my situation with what I can afford but I was told there are no current offers other than the usual sales that are always on. Anything I missed to say or?
I messaged support yesterday and they have sorted me out. fair play to them the improved the offering last night and messaged me with the updated version.
Thank you, just read through the steps, just to clarify. How would I be able to see the script player screen to do all that navigating when I’m on the quest?
I have:
Quest 2
Pc laptop
The Handy
Well doublevr recommended asking for a discount and I did that and they just offered some script bundle for $12.99 as well as the cheapest option being buying one script and it’ll unlock the ability to play scripts.
As far as other ways to play the content on the quest, there is a downgrade ability to downgrade the update that stopped access.
And re: other programs, I do believe there is another program recently released that you can view the content and sync with the Handy on the quest. I saw it linked on this site last week, unfortunately I got so busy and lost it and can’t find it :(.
Someone in this feed also recommended scriptplayer with whirligig and I have to try that as well. But not sure how to do that without a vr capable pc. I just have a cheap Acer laptop which doesn’t have the ability to run vr content unfortunately.
