Driving interaction and the best ways to do it

Hello! Ive been thinking lately, in the thread about free scripts and their decline we heard from many a scripter and script consumer.

The consensus among the scripters is that… they dont get much interaction, most folks find the content download it and never come back to say anything about it. payment is their main avenue of feedback is of course a wonderful reward for a job well done.

Ive wondered… what is the best way to drive engagement.

@Slibowitz and @qweer had imo the most ingenious way to drive engagement which were their battle series’ having competitive scenes. report back we crown the winner.

We have competitions here pretty often with some dope prizes… ive almost competed myself a couple of times.

but how do we drive regular interaction? what would make people come back to comment or like after being grabbing a free script?

I think if they got entered into a raffle to grab a paid script from your catalog or a couple if your catalog is thick enough… once a month and get an entry for a like and for a comment that would be cool but also… you might get people who abuse the system.

what do you guys think?

There needs to be some sort of incentive for the user reddit has badges as one example

I have the scripts and videos saved to my PC, and I download the scripts at a different time from actually using them, so it’s difficult to give feedback. I always include the script creators in the filenames. Very few users would bother with that. I always thought it was strange that scripters don’t add their names to the filenames themselves.

I agree. Because of the nature of this forum, it’s hard to remember to give feedback after using the scripts, possibly days after I’ve downloaded them.

I use Stash to organise and watch my videos, and usually include the link to the EroScripts post in the metadata. I’m going to look into making a plugin that will remind me to give feedback after watching the video and using the script for the first time.

I do agree, an incentive program would be good. It could be badges, badges give folks a pep in their step, bragging rights.

we have a creator leaderboard. maybe a… script…consumer leaderboard would be a good idea.

Well they can put their names in the script metadata… but its not like most people are checking their metadata everytime they have nice session.

and I end up overwriting the names of most files… so I can scrape my video names effectively.

but your way of collecting is highly disciplined.

I think we’re long overdue for a stash plugin connected to ES in some way. Ive always thought having a flag for if a scene id has a script, whether that script was free or paid and the ability to upvote that script, or have multiple scripts per scene would all be nice. Would take a while to code tho, ive made a scraper in stash before, wasnt bad but scrapers overload servers and ES has had server overload before already without scraping lol.

I do think a way to upvote a funscript from stash would be phenomenal.
