Anyone else notice a big drop off in the number of PMV scripts being posted lately? It wasnt that long ago i was adding a PMV or 2 on a daily basis to my collection but its been a few weeks since theres been anything of note to add. I’ve also noticed an increase in low-effort auto-generated scripts that arent of great quality (tbh auto-generated music based scripts are at best of barely passable quality in my experience)
I remember there was a time when a NoodleDude PMV came out, there was a good beat-based script out for it in a matter of hours. Succubus Apprentice released at the end of October and there still isnt a handmade beat-based script for it (theres an action based one though)
Are scripters (especially those that script by hand) getting bored of making them? Is the interest in PMVs in general waning? Do you guys think its just a slow phase and it will pick up again soon?
I’ve contributed a small amount of PMV scripts this year, but I’ve personally been busy as of late. I’m going on vacation soon though, where I will have much more free time on my hands to put effort into contributing more and getting better at it
I feel like in general I notice that this time of year there are less scripts overall. People are probably visiting their family and unable to stare at porn for 8 hours making scripts.
the pmv is pretty creative,but lacks the oomph and has a lot of downtime.
Also i generally dislike most "ai"generated aka scriptdancer scripts because they all feel the same, and most people dont bother with creating offsets in the scripts anyhow.
It can be used as a first basis but needs a lot of refining. I personally like handmade beat scripts and / or a mix with action scripts the most.
Also i see a lot of paid scripts, but most of them are 2-4 dollars, pretty expensive for a script imho. Personally my scripts will all stay free, no interest in generating money off of that
Hey…I almost exclusively make PMV scripts….all frame by frame. ALWAYS. I have 100 unreleased scripts finished…95%, AT LEAST, are PMVs. I finished 2 or 3 yesterday and have 100s at various stages.
I’ll ALWAYS make them until I retire from scripting. You all just might not like my scripting approach…….but I STILL make them homestyle and handmade . I just don’t post nearly as often in free scripts any longer because I’m poor and trying to get some compensation from all of the insane amount of hours I spend making stroke scripts……for all you…because I sure don’t use them.
Yeeeaaah… it’s pretty demoralizing to start scripting anything music based after you check if it’s still unscripted, and before you’re done, someone just posted a completely unedited funscript dancer version and gets a gazillion likes,plus it’s just really hard to find unscripted and good pmvs, at least for me
I wish I could make scripts from bed. My productivity would shoot right through the roof. The only laptop I have is a macbook though and I’ve tried to get OFS working on that with not much success. I’m considering actually building a really simple app to create funscripts on mac

I work on the SHITTIEST laptop…I bought a couple hundred dollars hp only for scripting and playing scripts a few years ago. I had another $200 Asus prior. My real work… lol…laptop is a MacBook.
Just put out more of those paid scripts/patreon. If they’re good, people will buy. Planning to make my return that way as well soon, got myself a backlog of scripts prepared.
