After years of using the larger offering in Estim Systems metal line, a Large Flo bipolar plug, I have been wanting to size up. Originally I was looking for a PES Stanley - I wanted the fuller size but also the contact areas. Most Estim Systems plugs have the usual metal-probe-alignment, bi-polar with top/bottom arrangement. Silicone plugs are side-side arrangement, which don’t tend to get the same kind of movement. Anyway, the Stanley has been out of production for a while, and the FLP series cropped up a little while back…
I can go into “why a metal plug” or the benefits of top/bottom arrangement another time - presumably you have some understanding if you clicked this post. If not, I’m happy to elaborate in a reply question.
I chose the FLP-50. The 40 looked decent, the tip size of the 30 is really close to the Flo plug I have currently - and of course some decisions made in certain, ahem, conditions, aren’t always the wisest. In any case, it arrived and I was eager to check it out.
power supply: BT-Stim v1 stereo box on mains supply (medical grade power protector in place) - not bluetooth, just dials and switches, and 3.5mm audio lead runs to a USB external stereo sound card with volume control dial, audio to the card via MacMini2 running VLC. 4mm banana leads, I run either dual channel or 3-phase. Other electrodes: Estim Systems Electro Rings, x3 - one under sack / on perineum, one at base of shaft, 3rd is on the glans. 2 “middle” rings are often joined on the same side of a channel, acting as one electrode.
On unboxing - First thought: Oh shit what did i get myself into… this thing is HEAVY and it is BIG. Second thought: Should I have gotten the 40? Third thought: I’ll bet this feels fucking amazing.
Always read the manual… Not because there’s anything unusual about these, just make sure you have the appropriate cleaning/disinfection protocols. This can be autoclaved, for any professional dominants who might come across this post!
Before the first trial, it is immediately apparent there is no joking around about “this is for advanced players” warnings on the site. I’m a bit of a size queen already, and when it comes to most toys, the disclaimer goes on a 1.5" diameter, “this is our large!” and it seems more CYA and marketing copy than real disclaimer. This is not the case with the FLP50, it is a real warning.
Maybe unnecessary backstory, but I’m avoiding work rn: My partner and I have been pegging for longer than the term was coined and her favorite dildo flares to fully 6" circumference at the base. Takes a little warming up and all, 5 minutes of playing around, wear/insert a large plug and mess around for a few min, whichever - but I can handle it enthusiastically - however it isn’t that full 6" for the whole length, it flares to it…
The 50 is just 1/4" wider circumference at 6.25" - but it’s practically immediate. The round tip is pretty blunt at this width, and even with some warming up over about 15 minutes, it still presents a challenge. If you are going this route, you should have practice, you should have been able to take similarly-sized objects before. Someone putting this in their virgin ass, regardless the warmup, will hurt themselves.
Plenty of THICK, water-based lube is necessary… the lighter weight stuff just runs or squeezes off, you will need to use a lube syringe ahead of time to pre-lubricate yourself. If you have to ask “should I use more lube?” the answer is Yes. If you have to ask yourself if you are using too much lube, you probably are not experienced enough for this size.
It took a handful of progressively deeper attempts (standard with large insertions, go right in full steam and you’ll be in the ER) and I needed to sit on the thing after halfway-in; manual insertion the first time otherwise might require a 2nd party, because focusing on relaxing and pushing will take up most of your effort, LOL, and you’ll want to be continuously adding lube as you go. Use gravity…gently.
Because it doesn’t flare or taper, it will take some doing, and if the “should I be worried about removal?” question comes up, as you’re nearing the bottom of the bulb, you know you’re at max stretch. (no, don’t worry there’s a technique for this kind of thing). It has a significant and abrupt reduction from bulb to stem, and is intimidating in this regard. Like the site warning, the manual warning, and my warning here: you should be more experienced than you are horny, when considering this plug.
On the “thwump” of insertion - IYKYK - my 3rd initial reaction on unboxing was totally validating. Yes, it absolutely feels amazing once “fitted”. Full, filled-out, but not uncomfortable. Not even the “is this discomfort or uncomfort?” question, because 20 seconds in and it feels comfortable. No “pinch” at the stem, or like the base is to close or too far from the head, no odd pressures in places, and no stress noticed on the internals.
Not gonna say “you don’t notice it” because you obviously don’t forget 4" inside x 6 1/4" wide, one-pound of polished aluminum held in your ass, you fuckin know it’s there, and it’s not something you’ll want to surreptitiously wear under clothes out grocery shopping or walking the dog. Maybe as a “funishment”? Maybe the 30? It’s not the factor of falling out (like the Flo), definitely not, LOL, but it’s not real easy to walk around wearing.
Intimate details: some folks promptly get a little fullness in erection from a plug insertion, and/or leak a little from contact with the P-spot, and for me it’s not been a regular occurrence after long-time butt play. But I immediately chubbed up and dribbled fluid when it went in, and when I sat down with the FLP50 in, had to take a wide-eyed couple of breaths as it really asserted itself against my prostate - during which I went full-mast rager just sitting there getting used to it. This enjoyable phenomena would repeat often in the first session, on big PC contractions and full relaxes both. I haven’t experienced this since first playing around with an Aneros Progasm and flexing/contracting in rhythm as instructed, and then only after significant time engaging the thing. Just… WOW. I think I could get an HFO with this plug doing the same Aneros procedure of flex/relax, without e-stim.
On first use, the size was most apparent with dual-channel stim tracks. As a bi-polar plug, it has the “ghost fuck” arrangement and with a decently-powered box, it is a commanding “drive” in there. I didn’t need to turn down the channel to get better definition of the 2nd one, I had fears that it would overwhelm the sensations from the other set of electrodes, but overall I feel like it just enhanced across the board. Most other plugs with the tip-base channel arrangementv have the base primarily kept external and stem/shaft are insulated, with the tip as the other side of the channel.
This is not the case with the FLP - the bottom side of the channel includes the stem and lower side of the internal plug, and separated by ~2cm band before the tip. This means the “flex” activation is more internal and more directly engages the PC rather than hitting close. It took a few (dozen) minutes to suss out the difference; whether it was because of sheer size, or how it’s built - I think its the latter.
In 3-phase, I only had the tip wired, and rather than the sensation of movement inside and external “stroke” I get from the Flo in this arrangement, the FLP was more… Direct? I didn’t have the sensation of a plug being pulled towards my prostate and the signal running the route towards the glans in a “thump-stroke” manner I was accustomed to with other plugs… the FLP was more of a direct, constant delivery. More like the sensation was organically originating in my P-spot and working through the system, rather than being pushed by a plug. Natural, but intense in a not-overwhelming way.
Session-wise, I found myself digging out older tracks I had grown out of or moved past, checked out a couple things I was “meh” about, and spent a bunch of time revisiting dual-channel files, as I’d been a bigger fan of tri-phase sensations over time. I don’t know whether it’s the newness or the difference in size, but I felt like it’d put a little life back into things - more definition to signal for sure.
All the fun wrapped up and everything else cleaned up, kind of forgot about what removal would entail… Like I said, its an abrupt change from the bottom of the bulb to the stem. To try and go straight out, risks damage - prolapse, fissure, other unpleasantness. So you have to angle it, get one part of the bulb past the rim, then it’s like taking a bicycle tire off a wheel, the rest comes out around. No damage, no issues the next day, and as-usual BM. Ring is a little…sensitive, a little “hey we did a workout yesterday”, not too dissimilar from an extended Pro-Domme session I experienced once (I’ll happily go into detail, it was incredible), and as far as I can tell no injuries or problems. Definitely not a “use everyday” plug - this is the GT3, the NSX, the XJ220. For nice days when you’re in the right mood and have time. Or, for when you want to go absolutely ham and flog it around, “drive it like it was made for”. If you’re a pro and offer electroplay, this one needs to be in your kit.
TL,DR; FLP50 is bigger IRL than you think and is not for newcomers (No, I am not enticing you to buy one, I’m legit warning you), the 30 and 40 are same shape and more widely accommodating. It is fantastic to use, its size belies its comfort when worn and challenge inserting, and is made excellently. 10/10 for Erostek and Electrified Experiences, nothing but raves. Run, don’t walk, and then don’t run, lol.
Only complaint is that it’s too big to use every day… If they ran a BOGO 50%, I’d have scooped up a 40 at the same time.
