Hi there Just A Question anyone knows how to extract .Funscript from funscript heatmaps ? is it possible ?
Heatmaps are historically just images, there’s no script data in them. At best you can try to approximate based on pixels.
The SVGs that are planned to be implemented on this forum do accurately represent the values and could be used to recreate the script.
For now, no. Also, I’m not sure why you’d want to do this?
If you’re looking to revive a lost script, I’m afraid your best bet is finding people who still have it or re-script the media.
If you’re trying to bypass paywalls by using heatmaps, not gonna work.
Btw, @Dimava I hope you don’t plan to enable publicly available SVG heatmaps for paid scripts in the future for this reason. If you do, they can’t include accurate point values like the current ones.
You may extract only the amount of information the image has
For a funscript with a poor 0.1s precision and our default width of 640px I pretty much can extract any funscript that is up to 64s long
So as long as your script is 25+ minutes long the answer is clearly “cannot”
And for scripts shorter then a minute the answer is “can, as long as they are a programmer or have $200 to hire one”
Honestly appearance of a piracy funscript site is much more likely
For paid scripts we are going to use webp images generated on uploader’s browser with just low enough quality to prevent this I suppose
So send the image here I’ll tell for sure
