FapTap criticism

@sobolsdaemon1 I didn’t mean you ignored me.

@TheHandyman First off, most people are paid for their time, not their actual work. I’m curious if you get paid per unit or per hour like the rest of us.
Second, it takes a lot of time to properly make a script. Even an AI generated script takes several minutes per minute of video. But there’s considerable difference in quality between AI and hand generated scripts.
Third, most people voicing complaints aren’t about pay, but instead about credit. Your comment is extremely short sighted. The piracy of the videos still gives credit to the studios but without pay. That’s not the same as what’s happening with the scripts where even the creator’s name isn’t given. They want to give away the script, but they want people to come back.

I can’t speak for him, but of the 15 or so scripts I’ve made only one got a soft release and I’m still working on it.

@mADsCRIPTS You have apparently chosen the right name, because you are clearly very negative…

The thing that drives people away from E.S. is if you have to pay for everything… Not if there are some other simple sites that also share these scripts, don’t believe that man.

Competition is always better, so the motivation for improvement remains.

The motivation to make scripts will always remain, some men just want a certain script. That will not go away because a lot is offered for free, or because a lot is shared on other sites or because there is less quality in between, not everyone thinks like this… The fact that the largest part is offered for free just proves that the motivation is very great and not everyone wants something in return for the important ‘time’ they spend on it…

You clearly think that very few free scripters are good and only the paid scripts are real quality. Most of free scripts are sh*t… Well…that’s your opinion, not everyone’s opinion.

I agree with you that a reference to E.S. definitely recommended. :+1:

@burningshroom Come on man, the scripting here on E.S. already start comparing like a real job…
If your time is so important to you then you shouldn’t start scripting, if you want money for your important time then you should sell something else…

And if credit is so important to you that you start arguing about it, then banning your shared scripts from sharing & blocking them, then you just have too much ego. :man_shrugging:

I certainly understand what you want but I don’t think you should make such a thing of it…

Again very short sighted. You’re the one that brought up money and yes it is the real job of some of the people that post here. Consider their free posts here as advertisement.

I get it. You give away stuff free of charge and don’t care, but they do. Asking to have their names attached is a pretty small consideration that takes barely any effort at all. In the event that they decide to make this an employment, having that name recognition would be huge.

I will stop discuss with you. You are bad listener, add things that nobody said.

@burningshroom I know it’s a real job for some, but those few professionals weren’t abused in this case.

I only speak for the hobbyists like you and me here. And like I said, I agree with what you want. Just don’t make it such a thing because it isn’t for most…

A lot has already been written here, so I will briefly express my opinion on the main points of dispute.

Firstly, about the use of other people’s scripts on such sites. Most of us will not mind if the site has a link to the author. And you should start by asking.

As for the use of pirated videos, I don’t think they hurt publishers that much. Those who are ready to buy the video will buy it anyway, and those who are not ready would just watch something else. So the creators of the video will get their money anyway, as well as additional advertising.

In our case, if there is no link to the original on third-party sites, then it is impossible to find out the author

chris1337 added more of my videos. I am against it and it seems he don’t care. What the admins / mods opinion? In my opinion he should be banned from here.

Sry @hugecat for the mark, I would really like to have this clarified, how eroscript handles it.

You could try filing a DMCA with Cloudflare. The Webiste is hosted via Cloudflare. “Registrar: Sarek Oy”

It looks like the site forwards to the script post and you can’t download the funscript otherwise (I guess you can play it but that’s pretty much it) so I don’t really understand what’s the whole fuss about.

But I agree that if someone doesn’t want his scripts on the site in any way the site owner should delete them.

If he want to do a project like faptap its okay for me, every creator has to choose if he wants his scripts shared there.

I only want, that chris1337 respect my choice not to share my scripts on his site. Nothing more.

I may get some flack for this. To all those who create these scripts, my opinion is meant with the most respect I can possibly give.

Economically you’re getting free advertising.
Morally, sure it’s kind of a dick move.
Legally, they’re being released without any kind of licensing tied to them.

Realistically I think this concerns chris’ reputation. Hes being a dick but hes not breaking any rules.

Power to the people and lambast him for being dick is the right move imo.

Yes I’m petty.

Given that it plays scripts locally and doesn’t require users to go get the scripts, that actually removes the advertisement aspect from mADsCRIPTS. His free scripts aren’t uploaded here and are downloaded from his sales page where the other available scripts are displayed.

It’s also a bit odd about that… Without the scripts being uploaded here, he can’t just pull the script from the source data. So he must be personally going to mAD’s sales page, downloading it from there, then uploading it to his own page.

Ah I see. In that case, It is still just a dick move albiet more shitty.

Like I said. shuttle his reputation would be the answer.
Whatever you can do in the licensing territory I would advise doing as well. As the author he’s in control over the terms of how his scripts are being used. If DMCA or another copyright control can be used. Do that.

Is the downalod script button gone for everyone?
can’t seem to get the scripts downloaded anymore

This is a pretty old post, whatever happened with this?

As for my personal opinion, i would be very angry if the free scripts i posted here were stolen and used somewhere else with no credit being given. As others have mentioned i consider my free scripts here to be an advertisement for my skills and the payment i receive is likes and comments and eventually recognition of my skills as being worth someone paying money for.

If i spent 30 hours scripting an hour long scene and got 0 likes or comments because some jackass stole my script and reposted it without linking/crediting me i would almost certainly retire from scripting(or vastly reduce the time i spend on it) because what would be the point?

Creators decide individually if they allow the script to be downloadable or not. If there is no download button, it means the creator decided to not let you download the script.

Site is live for several months now and is doing pretty good.
https://faptap.net/

And for the “if someone would steal my script and upload it somewhere”. This is not possible on FapTap. Only the creators themselves can upload their scripts. If you find script from other scripters, it is only, because the uploader got the permission (for example: FapTap | The Interactive Porn Experience)

Also, for further discussion, please use the current thread: FapTap - Watch Free Interactive Porn in your Browser

Oh good, i’m glad the website ended up not being used for malicious purposes. Looks like it’s mostly shorter clips of videos anyways which creators could probably use for making free previews for longer paid scripts?

There are all kind of videos. Some shorter ones (mostly anime / cgi stuff) and some normal length videos.

But yes, creators could use it to advertise their scripts if they want.
