Hi!
I’m a dev testing a new concept inspired by Blade Runner 2049’s Joi character, and validating the idea with users. I think this idea could potentially grow the Handy and VR communities!
The web app is called iamjoi (http://iamjoi.ai/), inspired by joi from Blade Runner 2049!
The idea is to create AI characters that feel real and persistent, with centralized knowledge and memory, and persistent among different users, just like real people. The app allows human users to develop long term relationships with autonomous AI characters that have their own lives and respond when they want to.
These characters can even engage in some spicy encounters through features within the app: you can already use The Handy (interactive device) inside the app for bj related encounters (wifi connection only). I will soon be working on improving this function and make it particular to each character.
I’m accepting 5 first users to try out the beta with a premium account for 3 days, and I’m giving each of them 100 message credits to get started! Join the discord and send a dm to Rod, saying you come from the eroscripts post!
Create an account and join the discord:** https://discord.gg/aREWesNM and send me a message (this is necessary to get the credits)!
I would appreciate if you could support the project, so I can keep developing it and also implementing VR using VaM.
The future is coming!

You’re not the first to try this and you probably won’t be the last. Do a quick search here and you’ll see the attempts of others.

How did they go? Did you get to experience those other projects? What did you like or didn’t like?
Neat concept i mean it wouldnt work for me at all but neat concept i hit joi and it did nothing and bitch was taking forever to respond

Sounds pretty realistic to dating to me.
I threw a few bucks at it to explore the other AI ladies. Had sex with one last night. Maybe you just need to up your game?

We launched literally less than a week ago, there can be bugs here and there but we will keep working to improve the product and user experience!
@Drmilord just an FYI, it was pretty easy to determine the system prompt and the base model you used. Generally public facing llm’s like this have moderation / supervisory model(s) that sit between user input and model output. Usually heavily quantized and low overhead, almost like an embedded model.
Aside from that, user signup process wasn’t great. The UI is not confidence inspiring for anyone on the fence about forking over personal info or credit cards. It’s also impossible to discern what any of the available functionality is apart from normal chat.
Also, my “credits” hit a negative integer. At least it wasn’t unsigned, then you’d be in a pickle.
Thanks for your input!
Yeah, fixing the data leakage in dev tools was in the todo list. Forgetting to do it is something that happens when the amount of todos is overwhelming.
I don’t expect anyone to input credit card data in the app, and I don’t ask for it. All payments are done via patreon.
I would be happy to hear how I could make the sign up process more “confidence inspiring”, if you are willing to give feedback.
Credit counting doesn’t have the best implementation yet, at least in the frontend, but it is secure and accurate. The “-1” that you probably saw is just a temporary frontend state. Very easily fixable.
Finally, I don’t think it’s “impossible to discern what any of the available functionality is apart from normal chat”. Everything is well explained in the instructions:
• 2 scenarios are managed, one of them is “in-person” (in the future to be integrated with VR presence)
• All Characters are actual 3D models
• Characters are persistent and have centralized knowledge, just real people, and their presence is not multiplied (meaning they can only be in-person with one user at a time)
• Characters can interact physically with the user by using a device like The Handy
• Characters have long term dynamic memory (still experimenting with diff implementations)
• You can engage in mini games with the Characters
