It is not supported for now. I don’t know if it’s technically doable. I’m adding it to the todolist to study the possibility in the future
If you do add online/ cloud services, it would be nice to have an option to disable.
Just another feature request. Would love to see an edging button. Which basiclly pauses peripherals but keeps video playing.
Can the reader read scripts in Bluetooth mode? Is this planned?
Good idea
@nicky74200 what do you mean ? What do you call the reader and Bluetooth mode ???
Can it do NFS/ Samba folders? I have a NAS where I store many of my files.
No it’s not possible for now to use NFS or SMB but you could configure an Nginx or Apache server on your NAS to access your files. Personally I’m using an Nginx server on my NAS to access my files remotely.
I’m adding SMB/NFS support to the todolist because I know setting up an Nginx/Apache server is not straightforward
New version released !
Features
- Add possibility to reorder videos in the playlist
- Add volume and intensity control with gesture
- Rework devices tab
- Add edge button
- Rework scalar devices UI and algo
- Add activation threshold for scalar devices
Fix
- Fix test button
Been loving the edge function but could I request a gesture or pop up overlay so it can be triggered without having to press the screen twice to activate it?
Edge button
I’m using this to share my Nas files: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wa2c.android.cifsdocumentsprovider
I think the first button should just toggle the edge overlay and then the overlay should stay always visible (until the toggle button is used again) ?
@MarkyD it’s working really well, thanks for the tip
It disappears when you stop using the edge button. Would be handy if it stayed visible while the video is playing
New version 1.4.1 available !!!
- Add script graph overlay
- Rework edge button and overlay (overlay is now draggable)
- Handle play/pause commands from audio devices
Thanks so much
New version 1.4.2 available to add SMB support !
Hello all-
I searched and I may have missed it. But does this work with a Bluetooth capable OSR2+?
Hello, just discovered this software and it’s really promising. It’s very unfortunate that there are no script players for Android or Linux. This forces me to use a Windows laptop in addition for instance to my Quest 3S just to send haptics commands in the background. Clearly it would be much better / practical if my Android phone / tablet could just do that, so i really hope this project continues to be actively developed.
For me, I noticed one (blocker) bug and one feature that would really be needed:
- The bug: This player does not work with the Kiiroo Titan. This is strange, because it does connect to Intiface which supports the Titan, and shows the device as being connected. But if I click on Test, or try to play a script, the Titan just starts vibrating (in lowest intensity) and never stops. The only way to stop the vibration is to restart Intiface. So probably a player bug where a certain command that needs to be sent is not sent. This issue does not appear with ScriptPlayer, or any other Intiface/Buttplug player for that matter. If needed I can help debug this one.
- Adding synchronization features with external players (like in ScriptPlayer / MultifunPlayer, Kodi, VLC, HereSphere etc) would be fantastic as it would allow FunFlixDroid to be ran as a daemon while viewing VR videos on the Quest 3S (or maybe even running FFD directly on the Quest). This would eliminate the need for a Windows computer just to send commands to the Intiface server, which I find very cumbersome.
Is this planned? If yes, this would be the perfect Android player once done - and I am surprised that this was not done yet by anyone else.
Hey, for the vibrating bug :
- Which FunFlixDroid version are you using ?
- Can you share your Kiiroo Titan settings on FunFlixDroid
For external player if I understand you need it to play videos on your Quest ? I don’t know the VR ecosystem at all so I might need more info on what you need exactly
Currently you are playing your videos from your PC and streaming it to your Quest (via WiFi ?) ? And now you would like to play your video with FunFlixDroid and stream it to your Quest directly without the need of your PC ?
The Quest is a standalone device, capable of running (VR) videos of onboard storage, however, I believe it cannot communicate with toy without a funscript client (e.g. ScriptPlayer) interfacing from Quest video player to Intiface Central. So I think he wants you to include API for his video player, so he can use Intiface Central from his phone, instead of the WIndows computer.
In essence, he doesn’t want the video player part of your software, but rather the funscript to Intiface part, synced via network (WiFi) against API of the Quest video player.
